Evetech Marketing

Keep your stuff in one place man.

Why?

"There's a sucker born every minute" - P.T. Barnum

The initial order is not the issue, the issue comes in with after sales service when you have warranty claims etc. Manufacturers 3yr warranties will be reduced to 1yr evetech warranties etc.

A fool and his money is easily parted...

Hopefully I won't run into any issues that will force me to use their after sales service. Who's the fool?

You must just be very patient and sort out your own courier.

CPA states that returning to the supplier; and getting back from supplier; is at suppliers cost. Evetech also seem to charge more than most for courier fees.

8.1All goods supplied by the Supplier are warranted free from defects for Return to Base 1 Year from the date of invoice. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Where goods are provided with a warranty period greater than 12 months, the first 12 months of the warranty covers all parts and labour costs, where as any subsequent period of the warranty cover only relates to labour costs only. e.g. If a product is sold with a 3 year warranty, the first 12 months covers parts and labour, and the next 24 months covers labour costs only.
As stated above we provide Return to base warranty which means, Customers are liable for the shipping charges for returning of faulty goods. Shipping charges will not be refunded.

So the chairs will have at least 1 year warranty. You are responsible for the shipping charges.

You don't see the issue with this blatant fraud from Evetech?

I don't say it is right. Just saying that they put it in the T&C's so you can make the decision before you buy.

What happens if one report them to CPA, is it worth the time and effort?

Evetech did an excellent job i.t.o. the delivery part and the components (MB, CPU and RAM) does look great but I'm still waiting on the CPU cooler from Raru therefor cannot test them out yet. Ordered all components on the same date (late night on 30 Oct) and were all in stock, but could only pay for the Raru order and then for the first part of my Evetech order (MB, RAM) on the same day through EFT (Evetech) and CC (Raru). The next day I paid for the second part (different order #) of my Evetech order in full. and also sent through the proofs as requested by Evetech. Throughout the week, both Evetech and Raru has kept me up to date on the status of the order. It was however surprising when Raru indicated that they would not be able to deliver by Friday as they've envisaged but rather on Monday next week.

I've messaged Evetech 2 days ago asking for an update, but no response yet. Deliveries are relatively quick if there are no stock or courier issues (black friday, December rush etc).

They sent my orders using BEX Express and were nice enough to combine the two separate orders for delivery. Ensure that you've sent them the proof of payment and that they've received it.

I've seen big price increases on some GPU's within the last week or so. The MSI 1070ti has jumped by about R1,000 at Wootware from my list kept from last month's prices to R8,099 which is a bit much and although I haven't kept an eye on the EVGA 1070ti card, I see that one is also at a very high R10,395 at Wootware.
