Expect competitive data pricing from 8ta this month

A birdy at Telkom who I spoke to last month said that if ICASA had allowed it, they would have allowed Telkom Internet subscribers to use their 9gig cap on their 8ta phones for no additional cost. But ICASA said they could not do it because it is uncompetitive (their competitors cant do it as well). So much for innovation...

Telkom will have to do something really fast, cos they just pulled out of Nigeria, so South Africa is gonna be their only hope.

I actually expect something nice from this horrible company.

Would be nice to see what 8ta has to offer.

yeah, I also heard this, so if its true, I'm on board, I was just going to sign up for the RED 2+2 offer, but if i can get 3GB, then I can at least start getting some quality sleep again and not have to use night owl.....i'm so tired (yawn)

How long would this 3GB be active for?

I would go for that. Even maybe a contract. Definitely if attached to my home prepaid account, or even my ADSL bill.
How about a smartphone to go with it? ;)

anyone heard anything new regarding this, or was it just a bunch of hoohaa for nothing, telkom trying to attract some media space? Then again, if we dont see some serious pricing come about, they will just confirm what they good at, non-delivery whilst monopoly milking continues.... :)
