Experiencing a very slow internet on IS

IS is getting worse by the hour, msn up and down, international extremely slow
 
Yeh, IS is screwed :|
Rapidshare has been stuffed since last night sometime, MSN doesnt work now, Facebook seems to be down...

GRRRR...I just hope they get their sheeet sorted out *rolls eyes*
 
the problem is with their "satellite link". Wonder what they do if the satellite starts giving problems. Send out a techie? i would rate the standard per hour fee will be a bit more than R350/h
 
Seems fine now yeah, then again it seemed fine to me at around 04:30... then it went back to being unusable.

<edit>Speeds are horrid, trying to check out work from a SVN repository at 8kb/s. Did a speedtest and I'm only getting the odd 320kbps download rate from international sites</edit>

Apparently there was a fire on the other side of the satellite link.

Seems to be working now, not a 100%, but working non the less
 
Sigh... this is epic fail.

C'mon IS, for the love of local interwebz...
 
Well, mine is slow again today. Log into users.isdsl.net and it says rate limited

WTF. Usage for the month is under 12Gb on the 512kb uncapped account, surely that's under their 10Gb per week policy. urgh, Gmail doesn't even want to load in normal mode, just in html format. ffs.

There was a small glitch with the rate limit clear for Sunday.

Should be normal speed now.
