Been down since 07:30 this morning, as of now, 10:40, still nothing. Phone them and either they don't answer or phone is engaged. Got through at last, and receiptionist tells me "wee are carrenly heving truble with all bys stations."

Nice. GPRS rawks. :sulk:

OH!! I thought I was the only person having this problem.. Buuuut - no one told me that.

I was only running to conclusions.

Sooooo, is the downtime going to be worth it - with improved speeds in day time???? Hmmm. Or is it going to be worse? At least its something new - a little excitement.

Tower 22 (Randburg metro) down all morning. Not sure how I can justify paying what I do for a service that is regularly offline for hours during work hours. This last happened just over a week ago when tower 22 was down for a whole morning again.

Now that Telkom is apparently reducing ADSL prices, Sentech had better sharpen their pencils if they want to keep me around!!

Not sure if it's all that "regular". There have been two major outages in the last few weeks, yes, but before that it's been incredibly stable.

The problem of this morning was related to Cisco equipment failure, and the issue has been taken up with Cisco directly. It affected the entire MyWi network.

Up again, and currently its flying!!!!

This might be because no one else is on the network, but this is something i had to post: (We will see how quick this speed disappears again)

Ping statistics for 66.18.65.105:
Packets: Sent = 440, Received = 440, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 51ms, Maximum = 749ms, Average = 219ms
Control-Break

On Menlo tower over lunchtime...

Hehe, now where is the "Save settings" button that magically keeps these speeds like this?

Single threaded download from Sentech is running at 87% (14kB/s).

I am even getting 14-15kB/s from our office server that never gave me proper speeds through Sentech, even 2.5 years ago...

Hehe, now that I posted this - how soon will it be back to usual?

Yeah, well, 2:40pm and I still haven't been able to login - getting an error that my "username/password is not valid on the domain".

Hmmm, I got "No response from remote server" this morning... Which seems to be fixed now. I spose you tried rebooting since 12:45... I cant recall what i did last time i got your error. I think the one time i forgot my password and had find the right password - the other time my password got changed or corrupted and they had to reset it. Dunno.

Came back on around 12:30, went off again at 16:00 until just after 17:00.

6 office hours gone in one day. Taking the data cable of my phone to the office tomorrow. Can't afford another day like this.

Had to reboot the pc this morning, was connected for 8 mins and constant disconnects - I guess its not yet sorted.

Mine went down too at abt 10 and call centre isnt answering..charming *growl*

I was down this morning as well... We are waiting for official feedback from Sentech. If you are up/down, please give details...

Ok I called the helpdesk...Spoke to Peter, he says there is no problems (THE LIES!) Anyway, managed to get connected to tower 12. Seems tower 60 is shot.

Att Sentech : It would be nice if your helpdesk knew what they are talking abt, considering there is a recorded msg playing saying that there is a problem :)

Today I was only disconnected for about 5-10 min at around 10:45 - I got a "There was no answer" error this time.

Once again the speed was (relatively) very good today, but seeing as so many people complain that they are disconnected, it would would make sense. Yesterday speed slowly deteriorated, but was still better than Monday. We will have to wait until the network is running properly before we can do proper speed tests.
