See now this amuses me, when this forum is positive it is automatically assumed one works for the company in question? , Is this forum not actually about FUP's - I work for a BANK how about you ELVIS?
Not many ISPs anywhere in the world will say what the bandwidth abuse is, because it's such a fluid resource, with so many variables. These Hosting Unlimited guys do say exactly what their resource abuse policy is, though - it's on their side, hidden under "Resource Abuse Policy".
I wouldn't venture to guess anything. You know what they say - assumption is the mother of all f-ups.
Utterly irrelevent when it's quite clear they don't understand the subject matter.
Then take Openweb out your tagline - are they still selling the uncapped express+ 384's as uncapped express+ 512 accounts? They did it for years. Joke of a company, really.
This isn't about that. It's about the ignorance of users. Same in pretty much every industry in the world. Most people don't understand the difference between warrantees/guarantees/motorplans on cars for example, and assume they're interchangeable. I don't feel it's the seller's obligation to clarify every single word they use. Ignorant buyers get shafted all the time, just remember: "if it seems to good to be true... it probably is" and you'll avoid a lot of disappointment in life.
Consider it told. That'd be me.
Search the web, pretty much all Unlimited Plans in the states threaten to disconnect and worse they threaten to do so without warning! I speak from experience. I just read Hosting Unlimited's Unlimited Policy they don't threaten to cut you off they seem to want to make a plan for users who are heavy duty.

Host4Africa - less than R10 per month gets you a lot more with truly un-metered bandwidth usage.
Thats actually a benefit - not a disadvantage. They host in the US though.
Then I guess you better quit assuming that you speak on behalf of everybody. This poll says otherwise. It's a clear slap in the face of this product and it's assumptions.
Or maybe you and this company are just willing to lie and mislead consumers. But it looks like at least 80% of them are smarter than that.
Yes, I still am using OpenWeb.... because they are still one of the few ISPs in SA that offers a real uncapped product with no restrictions.
Yeah... I highly doubt that. If you are willing to tolerate lies in one area... there is no reason why we should accept anything you say as the truth.
And you might want to check out this thread in the meantime....

Popular != Right. I wish we could just put up a poll "We need uncapped gbit for R9.99", and if the majority voted yes, reality shifted so it became fact. Just because everyone has it in their head that "Unlimited" means "Unmetered", won't change the meaning of the word. "Ignorance breeds contempt" ... very apt adage
# having no limits in range or scope; "to start with a theory of unlimited freedom is to end up with unlimited despotism"- Philip Rahv; "the limitless reaches of outer space"
# outright: without reservation or exception
# inexhaustible: that cannot be entirely consumed or used up; "an inexhaustible supply of coal"
# limitless or without bounds; unrestricted
# unlimitedly - In an unlimited way
# unlimitedness - The characteristic of being unlimited; infiniteness
# A term to describe an action not defined within narrowed limits.
Get a dictionary... look it up. You seem to be the only one struggling to understand the meaning of the word.
And the difference between ANC voters and MyBroadband users is in the education. Something which you seem to have missed out on in life.
BTW, does your boss pay you per post or per day?

Unlimited means NO LIMITS. You could also call it "FLAT RATE".
What does UNLIMITED mean for you?
When marketers use UNLIMITED or UNCAPPED one has to look at who they aim it at. If they aim it at ordinary people, they have to go by what the ordinary person considers UNLIMITED or UNCAPPED to mean and that is the same as the general use of the word - NO LIMITS.
the few a-holes who decide to abuse the service.
What's abuse?
It actually astounds me that people are so naieve that they think ISPs can offer *ANY* services without an AUP to protect their infrastructure and the other users from the few a-holes who decide to abuse the service. Seriously? Pretty much everything you do in life has an out-clause for the provider if you decide to pull the piss. Why should the Internet be any different?
