Fiber - Springs

Gooday all

"Blomme" side of things.
One home owner did cut the fiber line, pipe was blocked.
Left fiber on pavement.

Patching between Street cabinets and Feeder racks are happening right now. If one rack is completed he will start testing things from POP side.

"Bokke" side of things.
Patching between Street racks and Feeder racks close on completion.
One man is busy testing from POP back to street box.

So things are happening as long as they are there I will monitor.

Go Vuma contractor. :)

Someone is busy splicing near Spar circle.

Only partial Strubenvale is active.

"Blomme" side of things.
It seems there are 30 House holds effected by this malicious fiber damage of fiber cable. :mad:
One fiber needs to be replaced. (This cant be spliced)
1) Fiber needs to be pulled out.
2) Fiber needs to be replaced.
3) Fiber core need to go to connection box.
4) Fiber needs to spliced with pig tail.
5) Fiber cable need to be spliced street fiber.
6) All testing needs to be done again up to street racks.

Currently they are still patching Street racks to Feeder racks.
This then needs testing from POP.
Minor fault need to rectified. Not receiving signal at street panel etc. Currently working on it. They have separate crews.

Need to test from POP. If fault occurs need to attended asap. (corrections) Minor faults.
If all goes well by next weekend we should be live. Holding thumbs :thumbsup:

There is a blockage fiber would not go through. So they left the fiber coiled up on the pavement.
Owner was not very happy and he cut the fiber.
Not sure if this was a fault or oversight of installer that left this fiber to late. My point of view this cable should have been in when they did the lay fiber to the individual houses. Who knows?

Today I had a look at the POP center. Very impressive container.
This looks like the command center were all the action comes from.

The street that was effected were fiber was cut. Has been resolved.

They are currently patching street racks to feeder racks. One rack left.

"Bokke" side of things.

From what I heard, completed should be released by morning.
Holding thumbs for phone call for installation, lets see when this will happen. :thumbsup: up.

I received my phone call a couple of minutes ago.

FIber installation Thursday afternoon.

Bokke side of things.
Blomme side of things I assume also.

No more reporting done and dusted.

Now is the time to join Vuma family. (I did request to my ISP for install last week)

While uptake is slow.
Step, request from ISP for a install Phone or E-Mail.
ISP will supply reference number. They will contact Vuma.
Vuma will contact you for install date.

Then you have fiber in your home.
Mostly more reliable what market has to offer.719440

Bokke side.

They told me both sides are going to be released this morning.
You don't need to nag Vuma. Your ISP will handle the installation via Vuma.
Contact the ISP you want and follow steps. All you need to do.

Awesome thanks. Just can't wait to finally get off the 2mb ADSL
 
what ISP did every one go with ?

I went Home-Connect and very happy so far .
