Mine is fine did not select Vodacom as ISP. Mine is fine as from 3rd November. Only down when Eskom decides it is load shedding time. When power returns all is fine. Need to invest in a UPS.I’m back on again
You won a nice router. Congrats

I'm with Mind the Speed. I'm happy so far. You can try also Afrihost "Pure Fiber".Thank you
On another note, I didn’t realize that Vodaskum has a fup on uncapped fiber
So a few game off origin and steam and BOOM, I’m throttled to 1MB
Got a R2000 quote to cancel / release my line
Firstly , when did we change the term uncapped , to “not really uncapped”
Secondly , which ISP can I switch to, all I’m asking is for decent service , and no FUP! ( when I say decent service , weekend call center should be a bit more than turn it off and on again like vodacom currently is)
Yes a big save.@ijacobs3 so your best and cheapest route to get past the FUP - Afrihost Fibre will cover the cost of transfer and cancellation of course T&C's apply. but have a look at them.
Save up to R5000 promotion
- Sign up with Pure Fibre today and you can save up to R5000 on setup, activation, migration and hardware costs. Find out more.
- Afrihost reserves the right to change the promotion at any time. While stocks last. E&OE.
@ijacobs3 and you get a free wifi router from them - so i'm willing to take that router you won off your hands as you won't need it![]()
Yes a big save.
Based on us crediting up to R5000 towards your Afrihost account to offset costs incurred by moving your fibre connection to us from a competing ISP.@ijacobs3 so your best and cheapest route to get past the FUP - Afrihost Fibre will cover the cost of transfer and cancellation of course T&C's apply. but have a look at them.

Yes that is the man to get hold of.is there a afrihost rep who could possibly clear this up?
@AfriMan
help someone jump the vodacom ship
Yes that is the man to get hold of.
They will give you credits for a couple of months. You still need to pay the R2000. You need to submit this invoice.
This is how I know it will work. Someone jumped ship from Supersonic Fiber they charged him R5000 to leave.
He recovered this by moving across. Break even

So you need to settle, and they will credit your Afrihost account, if i understand?
Nobody else does this. I'm fine with current ISP. Used so far over 200G. Netflix comes to mind.Yes, you need to settle - then send us the invoice and proof of payment and we credit your Afrihost wallet. Usually amounts to a decent chunk out of the next few months billing.
