Sorry, you are correct on that point, Vumatel rep said we are limited to Fibrehoods packages for now. At some point we will be able to access all Vumatel ISP packages

Yea... Fibrehoods doing the install into the complex and up to the boundary wall of each unit.
Vumatel are then doing the installation from that point into each unit.

However, we can pick from the Fibrehoods ISPs:
Vox, Mweb, IConnect, Web Africa, CoolIdeas, Vodacom, Infinity Fibre or Web Connection.

Fibrehoods are busy installing in our complex... blandford road.

Apparently will be ready by beginning to mid April to install into units and go active.

Is Fibrehoods the guys going overhead ?

I'm so confused with everything :/

Who is Metrofibre? They actually doing physical trentching?
And OpenServ? A competitor to them and again, physical trenching?
Initio and Fibrehoods are piggypacking off either and provide the service?
But a post above mentions one can use any ISP, ie MWEB or Crystalweb?
And what is Vumatel?
How does everyone link in?

Sorry for n00b fibre questions

Is Fibrehoods the guys going overhead ? (Yeap)

I'm so confused with everything :/

Who is Metrofibre? They actually doing physical trentching? (Another operator, yes they trench themselves)
And OpenServ? A competitor to them and again, physical trenching? (Telkom, they use their existing metro and use overhead from the MSANS)
Initio and Fibrehoods are piggypacking off either and provide the service? (Initio may be a contractor doing the work)
But a post above mentions one can use any ISP, ie MWEB or Crystalweb? (On fibrehoods yes there is a selection of ISPs)
And what is Vumatel? (Vumatel just purchased Fibrehoods, another fibre operator that started the FTTH industry in ZA)
How does everyone link in? (as per the above :) )

Sorry for n00b fibre questions

We are sitting at 50% order on our complex and I've asked multiple times for a time frame from Initio.

Can anyone from a complex on Bellairs confirm they either have fibre or near completion?

Seems other complexes are moving along far faster with a greater sense of urgency

Nothing yet from Initio on our side. hoping the roll outs starts soon.

It's worrying when they don't reply and you see progress all around you.

I asked on the 7th / 15th / 17th / 20th / 22nd March direct with no reply as yet :/ I'd just love a 'yes, 1 / 3 /6 month to go'

Yup. We have 50% ... Required is 30%. I'm just looking for a time frame on when I get an order.

Only dates I've heard are from you guys ... April or May

Edit : 48% signed up. 39 of 81 units when I look at our URL for our complex
