Fibre in Noordwyk, Midrand?

So I was doing my weekly, Tuesday run when i saw the image below.
Are those trenches for fibre? I see a thick blue cable coming out the ground as well.

Thing is, this is literally a 5 minute walk away from my complex on 14th Road.

If it is, does anyone know the company doing it? Im really interested in finding more info about this to see if they are interested in extending to my complex.

I took this picture at 6:30pm today so nobody was there. Will try and ask them tomorrow morning before work to see what is up.

But if anybody here knows about this, please let me know :)
 
Okay, so I managed to speak to a supervisor today before heading of to work.

It is fibre and It's Metro Fibre thats doing it. They are installing fibre to Phoenix Regent Estate I and it will be up and running for them tomorrow.

The complex is literally next to mine..... :'(

Also, they not even digging up the roads. just through the pavements and grass areas. They using some machine to put the fibre through two points or something like that.

This is great news. They are the same guys that did the whole of Sunninghill. Hopefully they will expand to Midrand now.

Called the number that was given to me. Right now it's just that area, but they will continue in January if they can survey other complexes fast enough and get the approval.

Yes. If i was you, i'd ask a few more companies for a proposal. There are a good few providers out there at the moment, and it's always good to have some options for comparison. This way you will also learn quite a bit about the various technologies available and the different options for implementation.

Try talk to a few members of your complex and get some to sign a register or something that shows their intent. Better than going empty handed.
