Hi to all in the community at large,

Our complex in Midrand is getting fibre through SADV shortly and we've been presented with quite a few ISP's to choose from.

These are:
Cool Ideas
RSAWeb
Imagine
Rocketnet
Home Connect
Cape Connect
Vodacom
SADV
Afrihost

to name a few.

Pricewise I have singled out the following as my top three:
RSAWeb
Cool Ideas
Home Connect

It's a toss up between 50 and 100mbps

All three say uncapped and unthrottled.

RSAWeb monitors after 600GB but no clue as to what penalties they impose. Their contention ratio is 10:1
Cool Ideas and Home Connect - still waiting for them to get back to me with the issue of monitoring, the FUP's and contention ratios.

So for me, streaming and downloading P2P as and when required, are the two important things I'd use internet for.

Which of the 3 above mentioned ISP's would you recommend?

Thanks!

We have used Afrihost for our fibre-to-the-home services, and it all went well. Their client-zone makes the ordering process very easy, and their helpdesk works when you need to get info about the installation.

Cool Ideas - awesome customer services and support.

ok... so between Cool Ideas and Afrihost, which one has the lowest setup cost? my mate has got fibre already, got his CPE and stuff setup, just wants to change ISP's but doesnt want to pay high setup costs...

Free install & hardware from Axxess:

And think a few others also offer the same.
