Don't worry. I think Hilton does not understand. Telkom simple does not save you any money except for installation charges. Telkom Simple is a combination of Closer 1 (R170/m) and DoBroadbad 1 (R199/m).

But that is the whole idea behind a kazillion products. Confuse the customer so that they think it is a bargain.

Telkom is not a "former monopoly" ... it is, and remains a government and regulator protected monopoly.

Do you remember when Hilton Tarrent was invited to the Telkom HQ's and he did the write up on some brown nosing articles on Telkom for a couple of months. He was trying to sell us how they would revolutionise the telecoms landscape and at that time in 2007 how they would launch the first triple play services etc. This guy is full of crap.

We just need a new term, fixed-location communications market. A bit clumsy but is should solve this dilemma.
