Financial Advice

I wish. Will take DJ on. Not trading but investing. I'm done with trading. Too much stress.

I can assure you that you didn't trade. If so, tell me how would one go about locking in profit if you find yourself exposed to an unwanted overnight position?

Sheezus man!!!
How many times does Marco still have to tell you to stop using financial lingo that he does not understand.

You're never going to get through to the oke like that.

Try to dum things down a bit.

Even I understood what he said. :p

Pondering if I am on Marcos ignore list...

I did not trade physical bullion??? I did and lost R150K. That is why I will not buy gold again. Far too unpredictable. I will not go away as much as you want me to. You stuck with me "buddy".

I explained this to you many years ago. You were exposed to the underlying asset's price, but you didn't physically own the bullion that you were trading - it is too illiquid an asset and far too complicated settlement process for there to be a exchange market for it. Unless you were buying and selling a gold account through a bank - highly unlikely. I've seen your posts - you do not have anywhere near the capital to run a gold account. Secondly, this is not trading gold. You trade gold through derivative products that expose you to the price of the underlying asset, but you, yourself, are not trading your piece of bullion with a counterparty. You can also trade gold spot if you like, but you simply do not have the wherewithall to manage such trades - that much is certain. And again, you're trading spot artificially through forex pairs. The fact that you don't know what arbitrage is tells me you didn't trade this either.

The fact that these incredibly simple processes need to be explained to you time and time again shows your complete ineptitude in this field. You are not qualified to be handing out advice. Stop it...

Stops skirting the issue Marco... do you now know how index funds/etfs work or do you still think they are managed funds?

Yes, investing is good, trading is for the brave.
You think I'm an stupid. I do this all day 5 days a week for 15 years.

And yet you never had 10 minutes to read up on index funds.

I don't think you stupid, just very very very stubborn.
It's ok to be wrong, but when you go into denial / deflection mode, people will lose a bit of respect for you.
And pick on you and stuff.

What advice did I give? I thought I stopped giving advice. Was it not perhaps long ago when I suggested CML? If so, it would have made you gains of 90%+ over the past year.

You just advised that people steer clear of gold entirely. That is advice, you financial buffoon.

And even a broken clock is right twice a day. Even though you don't pick your own stocks. You just parrot what you read on other forums and sites...

I am happy with my returns and you guys diss me for doing well. Is it sour grapes or what. You guys are cyber bullies.

No. If you are right, please find any literature anywhere that indicates that index trackers/ETFs are managed with people picking stocks and having stops loses and such (excluding RAFI and DIVI for example, which track an index too but the indexes it tracks uses analyses of company fundamentals to choose its constituent stocks, but still doesnt have active managers and only chooses the constituent companies every quarter or two) and if you are wrong, just admit it.

Weren't you supposed to retire and fsck off to Portugal on your gains already? I recall you said that you risked your family's entire fund-base and chucked it all in 2 stocks. Surely you should be set to jet off and leave our shores for good by now?

I even tried to be amicable with you and give you some advice relating to how to effectively manage your portfolio better and risk better, and you basically told me that you are awesome and don't need advice. God I hope you find a Portuguese forum to piss off soon...

I pick my own stocks my good man. I have my strategy and it is my own and do very well with it. That Parrot you hear is ME on the other forums. Do you mean Sharenet or ShareChat? That's me.

Your strategy is past performance dictates future performance. It is moronic...

It is called "Momentum Investing". And known to be a good method where past indicators are used for future performance and the fundamentals are good for it to continue to do so.
Moronic?? Works for me. And has done so for many years.

marco : I am sure its been asked before, but are you registered with all the relevant bodies to provide financial advice like you do?
