Financial Advice

No noob. You cannot trade physical gold unless you buy gold coins and I stay away from them as I know nothing about coins.
Can you point me to where I stated this? You should know that you can only trade in the price of gold in $ or ZAR. Not Physical gold. Where would I be able to buy gold bars?
A dam stupid reply from a Financial Adviser!!!!???

I did not trade physical bullion??? I did and lost R150K. That is why I will not buy gold again. Far too unpredictable. I will not go away as much as you want me to. You stuck with me "buddy". Have you not heard of Market Maker Brokers?

:erm:

Right here in this thread, and many before it too. Now stop lying to people...

A dam stupid reply from a Financial Adviser!!!!???

Financial advisor? I've told you many times what it is I do, and now you believe that I am a financial advisor?

What the actual fsck?! I am not a financial advisor. Financial advisors are clearly not what you think they are either. I knew that you didn't understand what a trader is, based on all of your previous misconceptions (like traders hate volatility :wtf: ) but now to realise that you don't even understand what a financial advisor is...well that's just a new low for you. Didn't think it was possible...

Your strategy is past performance dictates future performance. It is moronic...

DJ. This is an open challenge to you. You are obviously in the finance sector so should have charts. What has my 3 stocks done over the past 3 years? The stocks are CML, PNC and MTA.

I am sure you will either not answer or give some stupid remark as you always do. Give it strait and simple percentage wise.
Put you in a spot here I think. If you don't then I win this.

To correct you. Traders LOVE volatility as they make money both ways depending on the frequency of the volatility.

Anyone can make schit up after the fact. More than just that, this has nothing to do with what is being discussed here, and in every other thread you've ever gotten involved in...

You win what?! 3 years ago you claimed your funds were tied up in discretionary funds with your advisor. Now you claim you were investing yourself. Your lies and bullschit are consistently highlighted, but you revert to type by claiming you held certain stocks for 3 years therefore you are the investment god and we should all just leave you be to advise people on your version of complete financial lunacy.

People will not play these games with you because they are childish and immature - the brain-farts of an incredibly immature mind and certainly not those of a seasoned trader (which we now know was a lie), seasoned investor (which is evident is a lie) or whatever it is you refer to yourself as nowadays...

@Marco, what are your picks for 2013?
We can then re-visit this thread in a year and see how they did.

Correct me?! These were your assertions which I corrected ages ago. Here you are:

OP, Stay away from trading for the next 6 months at least. You will loose all your money. The markets are too volatile at the moment. Most traders are sitting out at the moment.
Far too volatile for trading.

Traders trade volatility which I pointed out to you. You then tried to backtrack and said this:

And DJ. I was talking of INTRADAY VOLATILITY on the JSE. Not weekly. Traders make money on longs and shorts during weekly volatility.

Traders trade intraday volatility, you financial cretin. Swing trading weekly volatility (:erm: ) is hardly a popular tactic with professional traders for reasons blatantly obvious to anyone with financial knowledge - it is based on risk ffs.

Yet you feel qualified to try to educate us on how these things work while completely fscking it up constantly, while lying about your own background. This is ridiculous now and you need to stop.

And now you try to assert that these are my claims?! You are a liar of the worst kind.

Piss off now...

April 2012:

To make it simple. Just put your money on the JSE via a broker. Then choose 2 shares that are well diversified. They do about 60% PA and mostly do not follow the trend. They just go up and up.
I have been making a living off these 2 for a long time now and they are the most steady stocks on the JSE.
CML - Coronation Fund Managers. Well diversified.
AVI - Food manufactures. When all else falls, this will go up and up.
These 2 stocks will give you a steady income.
I have been trading stocks for 15 years and now have settled on the above 2 and no more trading.

I'm confused, which ones is it now?

So lied about being a trader.
Lied about being a seasoned investor
Lies about stock picks
Lied about where his money actually was and is
Doesn't understand the markets whatsoever
Advises people constantly
Yet is confused when people call him on his bullschit.

depending on the frequency of the volatility.

Again, what the fsck are you talking about here?!

You claim to have been a trader, but you haven't the foggiest idea what you're talking about. You constantly ask me not to use jargon that you don't understand (which is incredibly simple trading jargon) and then post this sort of nonsense. It is incredibly clear to all that you have been bullschitting this forum for years now, and you need to be digitally put down...

No man. Money is money. I gave my broker all my savings to invest on the JSE. Half is missing now. He was the last person to deal with it, so he must have stolen half. Money doesn't just disappear.

marco you are delusional - you need help

others.... although I find the bickering entertaining for a while, I would just ignore or ban marco in future

I refuse to ignore this thing while he spouts bullschit advice to people that could cost them their savings. He lies, pretends to know what he is talking about, and consistently derails threads into his version of what people should be doing...

on the other hand, the average advice you get on the internet isn't 100% - it's free, no guarantees...
My point is more that it would be sad if every thread about financial advice/JSE trading turns into a copy of this thread,,,, simply because marco entered the fray - why not brush his comment (if incorrect) off once by providing some links to his previous brain-farts and move on - why a pissing contest every time (it seems)

That is why I have always stated to stay away from FX trading. You WILL loose all your money. Even if you gain, they will not pay you out. Been there, done that.
Now DJ, you have not come up with the gains so I will. As to AVI, I dissed it long time ago as it is a defensive stock that does not do well in a bull market. Dropped 7% today.
CML, MTA and PNC have done 500% over 3 years. Over 2 years they have done 180%.
That is without divies reinvested.
Now I don't advise these stocks in any manner as they might not give these returns in the future but will not disappoint.
I can give a breakdown of each as to why they will be the Big Caps of the future. PNC will go down for some days due to the exchange rate but will recover.
Going to bed now.

That would require maintaining a database of his stupidity (too complex) or starting a thread about him (against forum rules). Why should we be the ones to do this when the mods can simply ban him from the financial section of the forum...?

Who the hell is talking about currency trading?! And the second bit is just more bullschit once again. Clearly you fell for one of those forex internet trading scams. LOL. And you state:

I have been trading for as long as forever.

And when you bastardised the volatility argument, you were referring to equities, not FX. Stop trying to lie your way out of this one now too...

doubt if that is too cumbersome... on this thread alone there should be enough links to his stupidity to rescue future threads from endless bickering - I belong to a biking forum as well - bunch of f'ing crazy guys, but their financial/share related threads have more value than these on myBB, simply because they don't turn into pissing contests
