Now Opera won't open my links within my router setup. What do I do now?

Where can I get Flashget and other extensions for Opera?

I don't know if Firefox Extensions are available for Opera are they?

Try Safari?

or try another version of Firefox? The latest Beta or an older version of 2?

Install VMWare and then a vanilla version of XP and try Firefox with that.

No I meant I wanted to know if there is a Flashget extension for Opera as well. I'm using FF 2.0.0.14. Opera won't open up my router settings when I click on the links. What to do?

Mercurial why don't you try using Flock as a browser. Its based on Firefox and a lot of FF extensions work. Thats what I did on my linux system cause my FF started giving me problems

I dunno... I am sad you wanna give up on Firefox :(

Can't you try and do a complete removal and re-install?

Are you getting a memory dump when it crashes? Can you post the memory dump here for us?

Thanks Lino. Gary, I've had continuous problems with FF today. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and that only worked for a while. I'm running out of options now.

Cause you could try using Firefox Beta 5, but I would recommend Flock as I find it far more stable. Opera is great but is a pain when it comes to blocking adverts

Ok, but is it a safe browser?

When you uninstalled, did you go back and delete everything left over in all three locations?

C:/Documents and Settings/[name]/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox
C:/Documents and Settings/[name]/Local Settings/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox
C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/

Make sure you cleared all three locations.

What about cleaning the registry? Surely one should remove all of FF's entries there as well

I've cleared all 3 paths and now running FF successfully, but I will wait and see if it's gonna crash again. I haven't installed extensions yet. I've tried safe mode earlier and I found out that it wasn't the add-ons that were causing the problems.

I had the following extensions:

1 - Download statusbar
2 - Tabmix plus
3 - Piclens
4 - Flashgot
5 - MinimizeToTray

I know I had more but I can't remember the others. Now I've just installed Download Statusbar and Flashgot.

Yes, probably... but I dunno how to do that. :p I think the Uninstaller would probably get those. Hopefully.

I mentioned those three locations because I have had good success before in re-installing after clearing those.

I hope it works now, Merc. :)

Yip, I cleared a few registry keys as well as the 3 locations you mentioned and so far so good. Will keep you updated. Thanks :)
