First election results in

Race is good as long as people are willing to listen. I think race is what makes this country good.

Diversity makes this country good.
The inability to see past race, think beyond race, is killing it.

All it takes is for people to understand why those of a different race think the way they did.

I don't remember how they spun it. But is hard to believe they could not find suitably qualified black people in their own party, after all they must have earned a majority non white vote to win the province.
I don't believe it either.

If you think the DA will bring back apartheid you're either an idiot or very ignorant.
It is undoubtedly ignorant, but a politically savvy party has to work with reality if they want to get votes. I think they realised their mistake, but the damage was done.

All it takes is for people to think beyond race. Not going to happen, as the leadership of this country drive home racial divides at every opportunity.

At this rate the ANC will have their 67% and then we're ****ed.

The trend over the last hour is worrying, im hoping its been a majority of townships coming through.

Mmm...time to consider immigration?! I don't want to fear monger here but if Zuma and his Cadre's get 2/3 I don't even want to imagine whats coming.

Of course they're going to get 2/3rds they've rigged it that way from the start.

So let's see....

25m registered. Say turnout of 70% then ± 17m voted.
Counted say 10m so ± 7m left.
ANC on 6m, was on 11m previously [2009].
DA on 2m, was on 2.9m before.

So where is this last 7m odd going to go?

That's from News24.

Does seem odd - only 1/3 of registered voters actually voted ?

That is just what has been counted and declared thus far. That figure goes up as the results come in. In 2009 total votes casted was 17m odd. They are expecting around the same with a 70% turnout, personally think it might be a bit higher.

That leaves us with around 7/8m still to come through.
