Don't attribute to conspiracy that which can easily be attributed to a geniune gripe.

The Anc, as demonstrated again by these election results,don't need to play little games to win support. The hate for the Anc by the Eff is a geniune gripe in that some people think the Anc has been far too decent to white people.

And it is not a conspiracy. It is a political move. The ANC would like to get the 2/3 as you suggested to spite white people that criticize them.
They will not get love from the IFP. Who else but the man they created themselves.

This might get Zuma ousted but man he has a monthly income a lovely home to retire to and his hand in many pies. By that time the parties would have merged. Come next elections the voters will just vote for a new "eff" or"cope or what ever.

The Anc and Da are far closer in politics to each other than the Eff is to the Anc.

Had the Eff somehow got close to a majority the Anc and Da would have formes ranks to defeat it. I have no doubt of that.

If people can be objective for a moment they would tip their hat to the fact that the Anc has never tried to steal land or put forward radical communism like wealth grabs. They've worked on a model of capatalism. You don't have to support the Anc to admit they aren't as awful as people have allowed their myth to become.

They've become soft and corrupt and I would love a stronger opposition. But let's not be drama queens and pretend the country is doomed because they will rule a few more years.

They aren't good, but they're not close to as bad as what most of the third world has.

I understand your point, I'm saying its politics and these are probably our dirtiest players, wouldn't put it past them.
I think that is the bottom line, I do not think either of these two parties has any integrity left. What is there that the ANC would do that would shock any body? Nothing.

Both has no morals
the ANC created the eff ( by their own doing)
Both has no integrity
Both has leaders that belong in jail or sequestrated.
Both has been linked to fraud and corruption.
The little one just want more of the pie the older one is getting.

What have they done that is so shocking ? Let's flesh it out calmly without hysterics. Has the Anc done any of the following:

Commited gross human rights violations ?
Destroyed the economy ?
Made life worse for people in general ?
Actively sought and legislated to disenfranchise any group of people ?

What is shocking ? They are soft on corruption. But at a shocking level ? If corruption on this scale shocks you then you must open your eyes to the big real world out there.

It's healthy to criticise your government but It's futile to see boogey men under every bed. I sometimes think if the Anc woke up tomorrow and did everything right some people would still hate them.

On the other hand if Apartheid never ended and in 20 years we had the same social and economic progress some people who hate the Anc so terrible now would boast at the achievments of the Nats.

I see more negatives than positives for the ANC if they merge with the EFF.
