First election results in

What's wrong with the idea of us going forward with the Anc at the helm ? That's what we have to work with. So maybe let's all provide an incentive and if they can get rid of Zuma and his cronies and show some level of accountability and funnel the funds into the hands of vibrant and willing members of the country rather than the self enriching. If they can do that then we will give them our support ? Is there even that level of good will ?

You are being enormously idealistic here. The fact that no one in the ANC except past and outgoing members have had the balls to speak up says a lot. The biggest problem in African politics is cronyism, and the ruling party is full of it.S

I never saw a negative person sitting on the sidelines ever win a game of anything.

I'd go so far as to say I'm being pragmatic relative to the person who thinks misanthropic observation will change the world one bit.

Agreed

And I hope this election has made people realise that the DA as it exists is not the party that can take this country to the next step. The party that will do that will have to resonate with the masses, which the DA does not. Added to that, there are no smaller parties for them to score votes off anymore

I don't believe what resonates with the masses is what will take this country to the next step and that's the scary thing.

Dayyyyum some people wishing on a star here uh

The Anc would shed votes if they alligned with the Eff. That's assuming the Eff would even consider it.

The Anc has had the mandate to do what the Eff wants to do for 20 years. Nationalise all the mines and farms and effectively bankrupt the "previously advantage" through "wealth sharing".

They've never done this. They've thrown an olive branch to whites. Told us if we want to be part of South Africa we are welcome. When we proclaim the Anc are like the Eff we spit in the face of good grace. I am not an Anc supporter. I'm a realist who knows when the Anc decides us whities don't deserve their good grace they can pull our rights from under us and feed us to the masses. They have had 20 years to do this and lots of pressure but haven't. Is it a little too much to ask that we axknowledge that if the Anc really wanted to shock us we would know about it ?

They've thrown an olive branch to whites? LOL. I can name one thing they've thrown at whites and it wasn't an olive branch.

The difference between the ANC and the EFF is that the ANC knows that in order for the gravy to flow and keep flowing, it needs to be milked and not taken all at once. If/when the gravy dries up, how long do you think this "olive branch" will remain extended?

Apart from the massive persecution complex you have aka "poor me" aka "victim mentality" aka "loser syndrome" you also have no understanding of economics.

Also if you have any interest in appearing intelligent you could do worse than not dealing in old worn out cliched metaphors like "the gravy train". Try say something in a new and fresh way. It shows you can think for yourself and come up with your own thoughts and aren't entirely hooked on old worn ideas. Society changes all the time. Be fluid and adapt with new perspectives and ideas.

OMG, go and take a flying fsck off at yourself please, Rooster.

The ANC is EXCLUSIVELY about the gravy. What more is there to say? Why am I even speaking to you?

I've made one post in this thread. Are you drunk, Rooster?

When I went a long way to showing up your long winded post for the complete pile of twaddle it is (in one sentence), you resorted to attacking me without addressing a single thing I said. So, about that flying fsck off at yourself...

So uncalled for. Are you not confusing Flanders with a different poster?
