Err....how are we supposed to dialup if we need to cancel telkom's ADSL Services?

I wholeheartedly agree with Wyzak and that is the reason why I won’t touch any offer coming from Cybersmart. The document he’s referring is an extension of their Terms and Conditions that can be located in their FAQ section.

In fairness, the document outlines the reasons for the restrictions and it basically comes down to minimizing admin cost and support calls to enable them to offer access at a reduced price. We’ve seen similar approaches in other sectors (e.g. Kulula’s reduced flight rates at the cost of sacrificing certain “luxuries” like the in-flight meal etc.).

Nevertheless, the T&C document gives the reader the impression that people all over SA are flocking to Cybersmart and are practically falling over their feet to try and subscribe to their services. Cybersmart is NOT “God’s” gift to the ISP industry and quite frankly, there are more than enough creative solutions to choose from that falls within the very limiting bounds of South African internet access. Thanks, but no thanks Cybersmart.

I can't find the thread now, but there was one covering Cybersmart's T&C's and how they let one bend those 'rules'. It's mainly to avoid dumba$$es getting confused and wasting Cybersmart's time, with issues with other ISPs. Find out from them.

I have not used a ISP email addy since I registered my own domain 7 years ago, and if they ever think I want to use their's they can kiss my ....

Ahhh, but TnC's are binding to an extent so if they decide to enforce them you are screwed....

Not saying it is not a good idea, but I am not taking the chance of getting my .... handed to me just for that.
