As per the title , the FNB app constantly accesses my location and GPS more worryingly. I can't delete the app because I use it occassionally, especially in urgent situations it is useful and the app doesn't work if I block it from accessing location.

If anyone knows where would be the best place to report this to FNB.

It should only access GPS when it is open. If it is doing it in the background then report it on their Twitter or call them

I just disabled my Location access on my iPhone app and could still log in no problem. I don't see any GPS options.

Uses it for geo payments and other stuff. If you're on an iPhone, set it to use track location only when you're using it:

On Android under Apps > Permissions > Location I have it disabled and app is still working.
You're right, I've disabled its location permission and now it's working still. Thanks. I swear it wasn't when I tried this last

I can still log onto the app and browse, but as soon I want to make a EFT payment it want location. Now, I don't see the relevance of FNB wanting to know where I am when making the payment. Even with Geo payments it quite happily did it before this requirement. Also have not seen any communication from FNB regarding the roll out of this "feature". Not sure if I have missed it. A quick web search did not shed any light, so it seems this is a relatively new item.

My wife has the same issue, if her location is off, the FNB app wont open.

Fraud detection.

A notification FNB was going to force this on me would have been nice. Even better, an option to turn it off.
