FNB downtime causes customer backlash

Meh, people will get over it. As I said on NH, other banks don't have problems as often because they aren't constantly adding cool stuff.

FU FNB; seriously this is starting to get ridiculous now; what would I have done without my ABSA creditcard?

Standard bank had something similar a couple of months back (2 months or so?)

Dont recall this one. Std bank has been up for a long time.
Last i recall a big outage was FNB as well, last year sometime.

Things were wonky and I think I locked my account. Now when I try reset with ID and username it says incorrect as of 9:20PM :/

OoOhhh. Some clever advertising rep will pick up on this and launch a series of 'hi, this is Steve from ******** bank. Come back to us, our internet banking actually works!'

Ye I remember. I filled up at a sasol before work at about 7am and I couldn't draw at a atm and the pos card machines were not connecting. The outtage was about 35minutes and I looked like a fool as I couldn't pay for the diesel I just filled up. Was supposedly a problem with the cell networks.

This is why a cashless society is not feasible in this country! I guess I can say goodbye to feul rewards when I fill up with cash only from now on!

Overreact much?

Carry some cash by all means, for emergencies. Stop using your cards- why?
