FNB Global Account Card

Has anyone used contactless payment on these cards? My GBP card just fails in the UK. credit card works fine.

Yes, in the USA.
Very much hit or miss though.

One shop could not accept the card at all as their pos did not accept a pin
 
Didn't work for me in france, chip and pin is fine for me though. haha swiping for 1.88 euro :P
 
UK seems to be very contactless driven for public transport.

You should "regularly" deposit funds. I had some Dollars in my account and never made any deposits for about 5 months. My account was simply blocked and I was unable to get any money in our out. I had to call FNB and they activated the account again. They told me to regularly deposit or withdraw funds to keep the account active. When I asked them what "regularly" means, the agent was unable to answer me.
 
Did FNB change how quick funds are transferred to the USD account?

Normally, when I transferred funds over the weekend it appeared the Monday morning.

This weekend I transferred funds on 3 different occasions, but the money is gone and never reflected in my USD account.

The transaction showed the effective date was 2 September 2019.

I will complain tomorrow, but don't want to if FNB changed the times it takes before funds are transferred.

Could be due to labour day holiday in the US. A whole bunch of FNB forex transactions didn't go through today

Ah, okay, thank you. That makes sense. I have forgotten about their public holiday today and that may well be the reason for the delay.
 
Hey all. Anyone used this overseas and can comment on ATM withdrawal fees? Travelling to Italy later this month, so wondering if there will be fees (the pricing guide says some ATM's 'may' charge a fee). Contacted FNB forex team and they said I must call the number on the back of the card. I'll check what they say later, maybe they have some affiliation to a bank there so no fees...

3 Euro per withdrawal so just do one. it is available online you just need to look at the right brochure.
 
Does this card work in london?
When people say chip and pin, meaning old school, no tap and goes, or not working at any terminals?

The pricing guide for Premier says 4 Euro per withdrawal. But there is a little note saying that some ATM's may not charge a fee. Was more wondering whether there is/are a certain bank/banks in Italy that may not charge a fee (maybe even just due to some affiliation with FNB). I would't have asked the question if it weren't for the note in the pricing guide. Anyways, I will split it over 2 or so withdrawals and see what it ends up charging and then report back.

sorry then 4 euro is correct, I cant remember being charged anything more. Believe that side is so expensive those fees wont even bother you.
