FNB Global Account Card

I think it's based on your destination.

Indonesia

I dunno. I use my credit card quite often overseas and for text purchases like this I get asked local currency or Rand. I thought I’d get asked local or Euro this time. Just a bit odd to me.

Hmm.

Must be based on issuing bank then.

Weird. I was also surprised I couldn't specify dollars.

Can a global card be issued in a spouses or someone else's name, to use the lounge benefit

Been in the the UK for a week now- no issues at all. Works on the Tube, retailers, tourist attractions etc. Great!

Anyone know if there's a way to withdraw from paypal into a USD global account?

Can you use the card to withdraw cash from any foreign ATMs? I'm leaning towards yes but want to be 100% sure.

My wife and I are enjoying the Ahlan Lounge at B at Dubai airport at the moment courtesy of the GA card. Best lounge in T3, those Marhaba lounges are just terrible.

Thinking of getting one. A GBP/Euro one. Once this is done and funds transferred to it say GBP, can I then make a payment from the GA account to a UK bank account e.g. HSBC without incurring further forex payment costs ?

Think there still a hefty fee for transferring.

So if I'm traveling to Europe (Germany) and to the UK, should I get two cards? One in EUR, one in GBP?

Do I get 20 loungeKey visits if I have two cards?

You have to sign up for a Lounge Key account and link your cards. I think your entitlement is linked to your account and not how many cards you have, so you are still limited to 10 visits a year. Having both cards would help you prevent exchange fluctuations, but you will be charged the $20 annual fee on both of them.

Annual card fee is not applied to the first card. Not sure about other card types but on PC the first card is free. I have a USD and GBP Global card and was only charged the card fee on the second card I ordered.
