FNB Global Account Card

Any other cards any one recommends just for an Emergency Back Up & Lounge Access.

Sadly Diners Club Won't Accept Me !

They've still not refunded me despite multiple phone conversations, support tickets, app chats etc. Everyone tells me it will (and should be refunded) but no one seems to actually get it done. It's well over a year now. FNB is an absolute dog show. 20 days left in this country, I couldn't care any more what they do or don't do with that account.

Is having forex in these global accounts safe if the country is farcked with a state of emergency or are they held overseas and safe ?

Not held overseas.

In fact, the card is subject to the retarded SARB limit of R50k per transaction.

Good luck explaining to a foreign merchant that you need to split one payment into multiple ones for such a low amount.

Or just make a swift payment for the full amount? R50k limit is only on card payments

Not always possible, e.g., booking plane tickets, buying stuff online, etc.

Everytime I have to explain this limit to a merchant, I can just picture their facial expression that goes with the thought "what a shithole country ZA is"

I guess. My travel agent is local though. But I hear your point, the limit can be highly frustrating.
 
I thought the UAE account comes with a card.

Sadly they not offering a card and now I need to close this account any idea on how ?
