FNB Global Account Card

Yep. You add your Global Card to the Curve card and change the default currency to GBP. It is set as ZAR for some reason.
The global card number indicates the country so it will default to ZAR. I just signed up and added my global card as well as my Monzo card.

So how do I topup my Monzo account using the curve card?

Monzo doesn't have a Google Pay or Debit Card top up option. You can sign up for a Revolut account which has the option to topup with Google Pay. Add your Curve card to Google Pay and topup money that way. Revolut is very similar to Monzo but you can just EFT from your Revolut account to Monzo if you wish to do so.

Do you have to be in UK to apply for a curve card?
I'm not in the UK and the app wouldn't allow me to register. I have a UK number and my wife is in the UK so used her address to register today. I just popped in my O2 son in my phone to receive the OTP sms.

App says that its been approved so just waiting for them to deliver the card. Screenshot_20200302-181010_Curve.jpeg

Why is it such a pain to transfer money to my Global account?
I'm required to uploaded my ID, Tax clearance and SARB application?

What are the costs for this process?

Edit: nevermind, see the limits are restrictive for my use case

Used my USD Global Card online to buy a plex lifetime membership. $74.99 was debited from my account. No extra fees or currency conversion fees.
Hi signates, does this mean you were able to use your Global Card to make online purchares,? If so, where were you located when you made the purchase?
I tried to make a purchase on Amazon with my card whilst in SA but it declined stating that I could not use the card in "that" region. Now I'm in the US and wondering if it will work to purhcase online whilst here.
Regards

I was in SA when I used used the card. I've used the card on amazon USA and UK websites without issues.

It's not based on your physical location but the location of the merchant so not sure why you got that error. Unless amazon was charging in rand. They could then have an SA merchant account doing the card processing.

Quick qu - are there any fees to transfer money from a Global Account into my FNB current account? (Other than the poor exchange rate that the bank no doubt offers)

It looks like the limits are quite low for transactions on Curve, can it be increased fairly easily?
Thank you

I don't have any additional cards and I was billed the $20 this month.

I thought it was free on Premier
