If you're an eBucks chaser, and Level 5, it's worth it. The eBucks earn will offset the currency conversion fees to some extent.

For the UAE you'll pay currency conversion fees either way. So the question is, in future are you more likely to travel to the Eurozone or USA?

Got a 4 hour and a 6 hour in return stopover in Dubai.
Had the global accounts already, but ordered the debit card to try out the loungekey. Hopefully it just works.

YEah securechat with FNB says:

"There could be an issue with the website. You will have to contact them".

OK, managed to register a new account using my USD card (First one was a EUR card). Only problem is the USD card only has ±$23 on it.

OK phoned them and solved it.

Trick is to log in, then ignore the "Verify Card" details. Then go to My Account --> Profile, scroll down to Card Details, and Edit it.

Then enter the card details afresh and let it save.

That literally solved the issue for me and I can now see my entitlement and history etc.

Had that problem last month but it didn't prevent me from gaining access to one of the Heathrow lounges.
