But when you apply for the VAS, is it activated immediately? Example - I went onto their site,logged in and selected it there and it now says I have it, is that it? If I decide to download like crazy tonight after 12 will my cap be in tact in the morning?
If you received email confirmation then you have the VAS and you can go wild between 1200 and 0800 (just to be on the safe side, make it 12:10 and 0750 ) . If you have any doubt, I'll be more than happy to check your account and confirm your VAS and accounting.
Yes please do, through some trial and error it doesn't look like anything is enabled...If anything it's worse than before.

Nothing even got counted to the after hours :/ Will PM my details and disconnect the internet and check in the morning if its starting the same rubbish it did last month.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
According to usage report, 117MB cosumed from a session started at 23:54PM - Peak time hours.
As this is your first time experience with the service , I'll try to arrange a credit for you.
Please make sure that you start a new session after midnight (ie. disconnect + reconnect your modem)

After Hours Usage - Query
Would one of the iBurst reps who visit this forum please explain how the usage figures below are arrived at - these are as of this morning and are for an 8.5G account.
Description Data (MB)
Downloaded 3888.53 MB
Uploaded 538.0 MB
Total 4426.5303 MB
Remaining 12981.47 MB
Purchased 0.0
Carried over 8704.0 MB
After hours usage 4597.98 MB
The downloaded and uploaded values are more or less what I estimate the usage has been - the vast majority of it being after hours. This account started the month with a carryover of 8.5GB and the remaining value is therefore correct, if after hours usage is not taken into account.
What I would like to know is:
1. Why the after hours usage is higher than the total usage.
2. Why the remaining value does not take into account the after hours usage (of which 80% should be free up to 40GB).

Thanks Madhawk, I'm sure you're correct. I've just had a look at the iBurst website and some earlier threads on this forum and it appears that 4 of my 5 accounts are "legacy" accounts and do not qualify for the midnight to 8am deal.
As some of the accounts are completely underutilised my question to the iBurst rep is now:
Please let me know who I can email/fax instructions to cancel three of the accounts and to convert one of the remaining from a 5.5 to a Wireless 5 account.

On a Wireless 5 package you will get a 60% discount after midnight.
P.S. There will be a R99 migrate charge to migrate downwards your 8.5 to 5 package.

Thanks Madhawk - will do. I'll be canceling the 8.5 and converting one of the 5.5 accounts to a 5 and then adding the 64kb VAS to that. I've been reading up on what's available and this seems like good value.

My understanding was that if you surf/download between 12pm and 8am that a certian amount is free depending on your Account 2gig Users get 50% Free, 5gig users get 60% Free.
Meaning if you download 1000mb, only 500mb will be deducted from your Cap? or has this changed??

Your statement is correct for those that does not have the "Uncapped VAS" Activated.
For those of us that does have the "Uncapped VAS" activated have the pleasure of Un-metered data transfer from 00:00 until 08:00.
Don't i have the 64K Uncapped still on my account? (I'm an old Iburst customers)
I remember Jannie said that users who had 64K uncapped will still have this service, untill they have to renew their contract.

I have PM you seperately. Yes, downloads are free between midnight and morning when you have the VAS.
I want to know as well. I started with Iburst back when it was R239 for the wireless 1 + 64kb uncapped when your 1Gig is finished. I didn't think much about loosing the 64kb VAS, cause from what I understand, everyone lost it and gained the extra 1Gig (wireless 2) or you stayed on the wireless 1 and just paid less...
