Frogfoot Port Elizabeth

Absolute shitshow all of last night in George.
Group of us haven't raged so hard in quite a while as Frogfoot dropped repeatedly for several minutes at a time.

Can anyone from Frogfoot or one of the ISP's just let us know what is going on? Frogfoot website network noticeboard doesn't even list Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha. Is it so bad that they are hiding from us?

There's a notice on their site but that's about it

If you mean Afrihost, yes I can see that but on Frogfoot's own network noticeboard there is nothing. Axxess just has a planned maintenance notice on. RSAweb does not even show anything. I am too annoyed to look at the others.
Really. Just tell me it will be down because an intern f&#@ed up or a drunk idiot drove over a junction and I will be understanding. Don't give me bullsh#£ about "we are investigating". I have worked in the ISP industry for a couple of years so I know the default messages. Someone is to blame and there is a reason. Honesty is all it takes. I am considering moving ISP's or failing that, immigration. I cannot continue working like this.

Virtually unusable sherwood side. Afrihost / frogfoot
This. I'm also in Sherwood and we don't have much of a choice, whichever ISP we choose.

Which is why I'm still on PureDSL (Axxess). Stability and reliability is the key for me, which I've happily traded for outright speed. And no issues whatsoever today, or any other day for that matter. I can open multiple tabs on Chrome, our cellphones are constantly receiving WhatsApp messages, downloading torrents AND streaming Youtube to my Smart TV - all at once, without any lagging/interruptions!

BUT: The cost is ever increasing, as if the ISPs want to force me to switch to FTTH (which won't happen until Frogfoot sorts out their problems!).

The catch, however, is that I will then be paying around R200.00 p/m MORE for more-or-less the same speed BUT with LESS reliability PLUS plenty of issues.

WHY, WHY, WHY?????

What alternatives are you guys using? I can't keep on doing this. I need to have a reliable connection for work.

Services have been restored, please test and confirm.

Frogfoot down again, and as usual just as I need to connect to a Teams call. This is getting ridiculous.

How is Metrofibre in PE, Despatch especially? Anyone know?

I am in PE with MetroFibre as my FNO and Afrihost as ISP, zero issues ever, don't know when's the last time I actually had an issue
