Frogfoot Port Elizabeth

Smokeping still reflects that traffic is routing via CPT for me, but browsing just feels sluggish for some reason.

I checked my router, and I don't see any heavy line utilization that could be causing any issues. One could argue Cloudflare CPT being broken may have an impact, but most of my DNS entries are cached anyway and the only other traffic on my network is running in a VPN tunnel

Pretty much the same for me here in Lorraine and from 8pm the connection just drops on average every 15mins even til now (00h00)

Increased latency, drop in download speed and disconnections on both local (Remote/Work) and international(Gaming) ---> Changes made recently for this area as per a maintenance message.(Thursday 30th July)

Nothing other than a workstation and a desktop system connected on a 50/50 package with zero background updates or downloads going. (We utilize on average 80gb/month)

What I'm attempting to say above is that Frogfoot fibre from what we have experienced in the last 5-6 months in terms of a quality rating is a 2 out of 5 stars for us. (Two being the ISP- Vox Telecoms)

Yes Frogfoot decided it would be a good idea to get as many people signed up to their network as possible and rake in the maximum amount of money without having the capacity to provide the experience their customers are paying for.

Typical SA company really. Here in Lorraine and PE they have oversold their network, but if you read through previous reply's from their rep on here @Frogfoot Fibre everyone under the sun except for frogfoot are to blame for these issues.

They expect us to pay full price for a service that in many cases are worse than the adsl it replaced.

Peak time viewing will remain a problem in PE untill Frogfoot spend the money to upgrade their infrastructure and capacity.

Until that happens we will be complaining on this thread and the sad thing is that there is no other option for us as Frogfoot is the only FNO in our area.

Well said.

The worst part is that your typical home user who may not understand the exact workings of FTTH may blame their ISP and at the end of the day.

It would be nice if the affected end users could actually be getting a rebate each month until this capacity issue is resolved, seeing as we are still charged full price for a service that is broken for 1/4th of every day

50 - 60% Price reduction :coffee:

also been having this issue since Sunday; even called Vox today to check and they did a Port Reset; only way i can get passed this is using a VPN with a Local route, which means there is a routing issue on frogfoot's side currently.
