There is an outage between PE and CPT. Clients handing over traffic in CPT will be affected. Clients going via JHB should be fine. We are hopeful for a solution soon. Apologies for the downtime.
 
And just this last week we were assured of better reliability by Afrinatic.

Another week, another FF outage.

That being said we seem to still be on in Sherwood, touch wood
 
Just got back online although latencies have doubled to around 22/23ms so I assume Walmer 1.2 was put on some backup link? Judging by past experience will probably only see +-11ms again tomorrow

It’s a weekly if not more often recurring event.

At this rate anyone on FrogFoot in PE expects it.

Absolutely dismal reliability.

I had to reconnect my pppoe session at around 12:40 as the internet just went dead. After reconnection, ping to the 1st hop went from 11ms to 50ms (Mweb ISP)
 
I'm actually thinking of just canceling my fibre. I've had it for about 2 months but it's been down too many times. It's just not reliable.

Call Telkom what you want, but their network is rock solid (Openserve and LTE), so its a good thing I jumped on the 1TB LTE deal, else id probably be fired from work by now for not being able to connect to the office.
