Frogfoot Port Elizabeth

@Frogfoot Fibre How the hell can you plan maintenance during peak times?
In order to improve your Fibre experience, we, unfortunately, need to conduct maintenance on our infrastructure from time to time. In some cases, it may affect your connectivity, but we will always do our best to get the Fibre up and running as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience caused during these times.

Came to study last night using a training website. Internet completely dead. Not degraded like this useless lot claim...DEAD.
Nothing loaded (Uplay; training website; www.google.com)...dead. Degraded my @ss.

I expect we will get more maintenance on a Wednesday night (seems like every Wednesday at the moment) as well as this weekend. Vox is dead quiet on the issue; Frogfoot couldn't give a literal cr@p about its users. If you can switch, best you do so.

I'll be switching to Openserve once they have finalised their rollout in my suburb.

Time to time? It's literally every single week, and again this weekend? Sometimes TWICE per week.

I could understand if we were getting faster fibre for cheaper because you were growing so fast and adding extra bandwidth, but this doesn't appear to be the case.

Our fibre experience HASN'T improved. Not at all. We will have dips for no reason. And that's before we get to the almost twice-weekly maintenance you have to do every week.
That's not sustainable. You have your Vox cronies in Newton Park trying to drum up support, and they'd recommend you lot. But almost every single driver is driving past them.
Stop with the bot answers please and actually do something.

Sometimes it seems that the "maintenance" never stops cant wait for the day when we can all experience the "improvement"

Reactive maintenance. Expanded way too quickly and oversold their service. Now we sit as they play catchup.

Precisely what happened...wonder if people on Vumatel, Openserve and other providers have the same issue. Those forum topics are non-existent here.

Frogfoot - you okes are providing a K@K service - and I don't even use it ( I used to, but cancelled within a month ). I know of many family members and friends that do though, and they all hate the experience.

Very slow here in Rowallan Park. It's so difficult to do any gaming since switching to fibre. Was on Telkom VDSL before and as much as one can dislike Telkom they had next to no downtime. FrogFoot fibre seems to go down at least once every few hours. Heck, even for the few months we used Telkom LTE we could do stable online gaming.

Is this going to be the norm for fibre going forward or just FrogFoot being incapable of providing good service?
Hello , you on Rowalan Park telegram Groups, have general and one for crime related, pm me if need invite.

Good day. Please note we are not aware of any issues in your area. Please contact your service provider.

What about Lorraine. My mom wants to watch her soapies, and she is mad as @#@@@#@.you don't want to cross that aunty.....

We currently have no issues in your area. Kindly log this with your ISP to assist you with the necessary trouble shooting.

No issues in my area? You have issues with PE as whole. Get you head out your @55.
It's the same authentication issue on the ONT device

Ah yes. Racking up the abandonments in Dota 2. Will be canceling FrogFail before the end of the month and go back to LTE seeing as their prices are more competitive and I can actually game on it. This fibre drops every few hours for a few (sometimes many) minutes at a time. Honestly. You get home from a grueling day at work and have to contend with aweful service for which you pay full price. It's been weeks and only getting worse yet the maintenance instances only increases.

May Frogfoot customers leave in droves. Personally shall advise everyone to avoid Frogfoot. Have an online exam in a few days. Not a chance in hell I'm using my fibre connection. The fact that the FrogFoot representitive posts here and fails to acknowledge this is an issue boggles my mind. Escalate this. Tell us what you guys are doing to remedy the situation. How can fibre internet keep on dropping randomly during the day and for unspecified amounts of time? It's been weeks if not months and nothing has been done.

25 minutes without internet now...

Also been down for 25 minutes now. This has been a nightly thing for a few nights, and their website only indicates more maintenance for the next few days.

Apparently we're expected to endure 9 hours of it every night with no real explanations. I see most responses from the rep here saying everything is fine too, what a joke.

Glad I don't work nights anymore, I can't imagine losing entire days pay to this shoddy service

But you guys AREN'T down because it doesn't show on their side. That's the same message all the time.
Yet it only works again after an ONT/WiFi router restart. I'll also be starting online exams in the next couple of weeks, and sure as all hell will NOT hope to run into an issue.
Happened a few months ago, but luckily I got it running again.
And don't, for heavens sake, restart the ONT. They cannot pull logs after that. Openserve are getting closer and closer to my block in our street. Once live, I am turfing these jokers as well as Vox who own them. Nothing is being done.
Maintenance? Almost twice per week now. How broken are things if you have to do that much maintenance? Even once per week is too much. You just get the same bot reply here without any improvements or proper explanations.

Performance such as this is unacceptable in the year 2021.

Telkom ADSL from 2004 absolutely trounces FF in reliability and stability. And that is saying something.

I had 4mb ADSL and was about 6km from the exchange in a rural area with copper ****ing wires and I never got so many drops or lag spikes or just plain rubbish experience as I have had with FF.

Only problem I ever had was lightening killing my modem but that can't be blamed on Telkom.
