Frogfoot Port Elizabeth

Not a great maintenance window that they have, if I'm honest.

Schedule these things for 02:00 ffs

Frogfoot is so advanced that it has pulled off time travel.
We've gone back 20 years into the past.
100mbps down to 52kbps.
Well done Frogfoot, a true marvel of science

Why did it have to be at 9pm, peak time... :(

I dont mind if they do maintenance early hours of the morning, but at this time of night it sucks.

I also don't get it.

My fiance's Surface decided to **** the bed this evening and needs a reinstall. An 11GB recovery image is giving me an ETA of two days to download!

Very slow here in Rowallan Park. It's so difficult to do any gaming since switching to fibre. Was on Telkom VDSL before and as much as one can dislike Telkom they had next to no downtime. FrogFoot fibre seems to go down at least once every few hours. Heck, even for the few months we used Telkom LTE we could do stable online gaming.

Is this going to be the norm for fibre going forward or just FrogFoot being incapable of providing good service?

Came to study last night using a training website. Internet completely dead. Not degraded like this useless lot claim...DEAD.
Nothing loaded (Uplay; training website; www.google.com)...dead. Degraded my @ss.

I expect we will get more maintenance on a Wednesday night (seems like every Wednesday at the moment) as well as this weekend. Vox is dead quiet on the issue; Frogfoot couldn't give a literal cr@p about its users. If you can switch, best you do so.

I'll be switching to Openserve once they have finalised their rollout in my suburb.

This has been happening since last year. I switched to Vox/Frogfoot fibre from Webafrica/Openserve ADSL and it has been horrible since.
Speed generally is fine. This twice per week maintenance is laughable. Do the other providers do this? I went down 8x in the space of 3 days last year. On ADSL I maybe had the same thing happen 8x in the 8.5 years I had Openserve ADSL!
I'm switching to Openserve once they've finalised their fibre rollout (VUma is too expensive and they look like they'll be bought out by Vodacom!) and kicking Vox to the curb in favour of Cool Ideas.

Had they just moved the window to start at midnight or 01:00, I am sure they would have a lot fewer disgruntled customers today

And you always have the risk of something going wrong and a overrun
That's why redundancy should be a thing, and an appropriate back-out plan should the defecation hit the oscillation

9 hours of downtime?
Starting @ 21:00 would then equate to 06:00 end of degradation.
It is now 11:30 and still no internet, not even degraded internet.
Thats 14+ hours now @Frogfoot Fibre.
Can you froggin Kevins get your act together?
