Require help. Only picked up my router today and wondering what my WAN settings should be? I though it was Dynamic IP(this is TP-LINK btw) but thats not working. When I select detect, it says static IP(but what the hell do I type in)

That sounds a bit dodgy...
You think? Either way, Cool Ideas just replied- said that it was the PC MAC adress, and they changed it to the routers. Problem (hopefully) solved
Can you explain what you did? I think I have the same problemNevermind. Problem: The CPE was still searching for the MAC address on my PC. Solution: set router MAC adress to the one on my PC. All devices seem to get internet now. Keep this in mind if the same should happen to you.

We're live there. All done. Just waiting for the Vuma publishing dates so we can plan the pricing launch...
I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the frequent pushing out of fibre ready dates and the recent lack of communication on this issue.
Phase 6 was initially earmarked for go-live in December. Then the end of January. Then several dates in February. And now Vumatel is mum on the subject. I don't see any more trenching and it seems the work is all completed. I can't help feeling that Vumatel has shifted their focus to other Phases to try to keep to those dates, since they've already missed so many deadlines for our phase.
Of course, I know about the electrical cable issues and the additional scanning procedures being performed since. Having said that, doesn't Vumatel just need to plug Phase 6 into the "ring" or whatever now? What still has to happen to get Phase 6 connected? Anticipation is turning into frustration over here...
Hi, Phase 5 has also been hit quite badly by it. Some of the issues was not in VUMA's control.
I know Phase 5 is going live on the 14th March. Phase six has some drilling that still needs to be done, before it can go live. So the power issue is largely to blame for the latest delay.
Not sure if this is propriety or not, but essentially, Phase 1 - 4 is on one VDN, Phase 5 - 7 is on its own VDN.
I believe you should go live not long after the 14th. The other phases will be getting delays till April I believe.
I heard that even phase 8 is still on track for 14 March. Vuma just don't want to advertise the fact in order to manage expectations.
Drilling happened in phase 8 yesterday, so things are definitely happening.

I'm sorry but changing the due date to TBA is not managing expectations, it's leaving ppl in the dark. I got hold of one of the VUMA guys who said we MAY get an update notification next week. Will wait and see.
If it's a case of City Power not coming to the party in assisting with the scanning process, then they must just say so and advise what is being done to resolve it. Contrary to sum other ppl, I think they handled the trenching issues rather well bcos of their comms. It's just a pity the same is not being done now.
