FTTH Protea Valley, Bellville

I'm seriously hoping that Vumatel wins the race. They seem to have far better speeds at far lower prices. Plus I don't think OpenServe has any symmetric offerings.

Even Telkom ISP offers their packages cheaper on providers other than OpenServe. OpenServe seems to think fibre is the new ADSL, and then treats it as such....

I'm personally interested in Cool Ideas as an ISP on FTTH. Just a quick comparison of their packages on OpenServe and Vumatel (www.cisp.co.za):
OpenServe: R1199 gets you 10/5
Vumatel: R1199 gets you 100/100

funny enough, my wife just got home and saw vumatel guys taking measurements.
at the same time, we got a mail this morning and a flyer this afternoon about openserve (via nokia) justr about to satrt rolling out in the area as well... interesting

Yeah I saw the openserve notice. Would prefer vumatel as better choice in ISP's and cost.

Did those who live in Door de Kraal get an email last night? If not, pm me your name, surname, address and contact details and I'll ask the guy in charge to add you to the Ratepayers Association's mailing list for Door de Kraal.

We have done it!!! Just checked:

100% Your suburb still requires 0 sign-ups to qualify.
Encourage your neighbours to show their interest in bringing VUMA to your suburb.

Repost from facebook. We are unfortunatly only at 30%...

has been confirmed that there have been multiple sign ups in a short time from a single person.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS IT WILL ONLY DELAY THE PROCESS!!!!!

Almost 300 sign ups have been rolled back for Vumatel to check their validity

:-(

Stupid.

I did get the flyer in my post box yesterday.

As you guys have noticed, we've been set back significantly. Please let your neighbours and friends know to sign up again, even if they have already done so before. I do think the rollback was a bit aggressive, but it is what it is unfortunately. :(

My registration wasn't rolled back, I reregistered and it showed that my address was listed.

We still need 269 registrations

received flyer from Vumatel and saw Nokia measuring at the top of Kreupelboom the other day
