Fuel consumption

BMW 320D - 57 litre tank
5 year life time average is about 6.8 litres/100km
Best ever on a 20km flat route was 3.9 litres/100km

Wow, that's good consumption. I don't recall every averaging under 4.7L/100km. But I don't have the kind of patience to drive under 100km/h for long enough to see that kind of consumption.

Toyota Auris 1.3

I have bettered my fuel consumption to 5.6l/100km, got 845km on that tank and filled in 48L and my tank size is 55L plus this was using Aircon 90% of the time as the temps have warmed up.

I drive 95% of the time the highway and work shifts. When i was on leave for 2 weeks doing the run around with no highway. The consumption went as high as 6.4L/100km

Car has good consumption, but paying over R800 to fill up sucks.

My FI Fiat Uno running spitronics returns 6.5l/100km without fail.

So changing my driving style to be more conservative and I still ended up in an accident with the Citroen on Friday going up hospital bend.

Funny thing was that a minute before the accident my wife commented that I'm driving very calmly. I told her afterwards to just keep quiet and not comment on my driving anymore

In town 26 ltr per 100Km. (lots of stoppage and slow down for speedbumps, kids and morons)
Open road 10.7 ltr per 100km.

Mazda CX-5 AWD 2.2D
58L tank. Refuel at the 25% mark up to auto-stop at about R660 each time.
8.1l/100km average on my daily commute. Live in Randburg, work in Rosebank 2 days a week, and in the JHB CBD 3 days a week. So sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic most days.
6l/100km highway - But I rarely make it onto the highways with the places I need to get to. Looking forward to the holiday period and getting out of JHB and stretching the car's legs on a long drive to whatever holiday destination.
Which year model do you have bud

That's sticking to the speed limit.
Here's a trip I took this weekend on the way back to CPT. (N2, Franschhoek Pass and N1)
Mixed speed roads 120/80/60kph and traffic.

I'm hopefully getting my car back this morning, I'll reset the long term average and try to get 4l/100km. Might not be possible as my both my morning and afternoon routes are in peak traffic. I'll try anyway. That is awesome consumption you are getting there.

Mini Countryman 1.5 Turbo
9.2l/100km

Aircon on 24/7
All driving in traffic

Maybe I should start using Green Mode.

2012 F30 BMW 320D
Hermanus to JHB, mostly cruise control
4.5l/100km could've done it on a single tank but was not brave enough for the last 100kms.

2014 Audi A4 1.8TFSI Multitronic

12-13L/100km stop start traffic aggressive driving
10L/100km mixed driving
6.1L/100km highway long distance

My average tank is around 11.5L/100km. I haven't changed my driving style - no point driving slowly just to save a few bucks.

My 2.0 TDCi Ford Fusion gets about 8.2-8.5 in typical Joburg mixed driving. Last year on the way to the coast, fully loaded, I managed 5.9 over 1000km.
