Havent had any issues, and I am on 10mbps afrihost. Not based in CPT though, The only issues I experienced was a bit of stutter now and then during the first period of the ice hockey, but I wasn't watching that live. Another nice feature, being able to watch shows that showed earlier in the day. Very impressed with the service for the price.

Thanks to your help I've got a perfect setup with channel EPG guide and logos :)

Just can't find XML EPG info for the german channels sigh.

Managed to watch the German Pokal (Their FA Cup Final) on Saturday night in HD on Sky Sports DE.

Was amazing.

Really good service, and Sky channels actually show stuff worth watching for a change.

Yes please. Also if someone can help me / point me in the right direction to setup XBMC ad Futubox so I can use this service since they disabled streams to the Roku channel.
 
Get German EPG from here. You can use XMLTV Gui to combine this epg with the sky EPG. If you need help doing this, i am here

Second issue, I downloaded the playlist - but it seems to play random channels, not the one selected? Any advice?
 
Doesn't look like this is going to work for me, 4MB Telkom Uncapped (Sync at 10MB)

I can't get anything to work properly, tried multiple servers, all on SD - 90% of the time I get a blank screen.

On what ISP? Also, how long does it stay a black screen for? it does take a bit of time to load sometimes.

Telkom Uncapped... stays permanently black... sometimes it starts playing in about 5 seconds, other times it just stays black.

If I kick off my downloads (server in EU) it goes straight up to 550KB/s

Some channels on Futubox plays smooth and others stutter a lot. The History channel for example is perfect, but SkySportsF1 stutters randomly. If I check my speed to one of their servers, it confirms that my connection is HD capable. Streaming from other sites works fine. A real pity because if the F1 worked fine, I would have cancelled DSTV and fine tuned my HDPVR with a hammer.

I see what it's doing. It basically tries the channel I select, and almost immediately tries the ext few in the playlist... Until it gets to one which connects immediately.

I wonder if this isn't some sort of DNS issue.
 
Here is my experience

Signed up on May 28, 3 days before I terminated my MWEB 4meg uncapped. Stream was very good with Skynews and Natgeo HD rendering before DSTV (makes me wonder about overall DSTV lag but i digress)

June 1, first day of Telkom uncapped 10meg ( i only sync at 6 meg, will reconsider). Stutterville !!!!
I always knew I would return to MWEB, this will be my first reason.

Now that I figured out the random channel thing... I've set xbmc to not play the next item.

Now if I keep trying a channel... 10 or so times, it plays, and plays fine.... Stop it and try again, nope... Have to keep trying multiple times. Any one have any ideas?
 
Ok so if it cannot connect to a channel you should get an error in XBMC. If there are issues it will jump to the next one that works - This happens to me.

Also i have noticed on Semi-Shapped and Unshaped accounts it works diffrently.

Also the distance from your Exchange is a factor like i cannot do HD as i am 2.xxKM away but SD works like a charm.

I have tested this on the below and these are my results. Others might have perfect connections.

OpenWeb Gold Uncapped - SD Works , HD Stuttering
AfriHost Uncapped Home - SD + HD Stuttering
Afrihost Uncapped Business - SD Works , HD Stuttering
 
Finally got mine working on my samsung smart tv, flippen hell was a hassle, the quick and easy steps on futubox's website under FAQ does not work. Luckily they are quick to respond on their facebook page. Worked pretty cool on my 4m uncapped at mweb. The HD buffered every now and again for about 3-4 seconds, but other that that it was fine
