Futubox

It seems that people closer to the Exchange are getting better speeds and quality on SD and HD.
 
I added the m3u playlist to XBMC on my Apple TV and it works much better now. Even channels that refused to work previously work fine now. I'm using MWEB's 4mb uncapped and streaming in SD. Works great.

Hope you are all enjoying the F1 on futubox. I just finished generating epg data for most of the channels for use with the Live TV addon in XBMC and i thought i should share this. I will also be sharing my playlist without my unique IP of course. I have also included some streams i found online in my playlist. Also included are channel logos for all channels on the playlist.

EDIT: I have changed the link the the epg data file. Mediafire kills my connection each time i upload. The old epg data file did not sync properly with most channels. The new one does.

Am struggling to get the Sky F1 stream up and running. All I get is a blank screen and no picture. Its weird because all the other channels are working fine except the one that I want to watch :confused: anyone with a similar problem.
 
SkySports F1 and History is not working. The German F1 channel is working fine.

The Italian and French F1 channels are also working.

I was wondering about this as well. Seems like a decent deal that STB.

Will that STB work in SA. I would assume we would have to use Unotelly or something like that.
 
On closer examination it seems that the STi7105 processor powering the Futubox is quite old - it appears to have been released in 2008. I think that the same processor is used in some of the DSTV PVRs. The unit does seem to support more formats than a Roku though. I would be interested to see how the WebKit based web browser performs on this low end hardware. You can purchase the unit without a subscription on www.ebay.co.uk.

Could someone please explain why I am unable to install XBMC 12.2 on my Windows 7 machine? I have downloaded about 10 different copies from different sources. They all say the are 100% complete and when I try run the .exe file I get the folliwng attached error:

Is this a common error or what?

Never mind - found a way to force it to open via Command Prompt. Not sure why it kept giving me that error. And it was only with XBMC, tried another download and worked perfectly. Oh well...

I spoke to soon. While it was unpacking, it gave me an error so ya, back at square one. Didn't think it be so hard to download XBMC!!!
 
your download is corrupt as it got interrupted so try again and get a completed copy of XBMC then you will have no issues :)
