EDIT: If I switch back to my playlist - it works, but the logo's don't display.

Anyone have any issues with the video struggling to start in the first 2 or o seconds, loosing sync with the sound... Fine after that, but the sync is still out?
 
So did stream the Springbok rugby?
Or am I stuck with DSTV?

EDIT: I have changed the link the the epg data file. Mediafire kills my connection each time i upload. The old epg data file did not sync properly with most channels. The new one does.

it is impossible. There was a private channel but that has been killed off. So at the moment it is impossible unfortunately. I have been looking into this for weeks and tried many different ways without success.
 
Hi All, futubox has added 4 new channels all in French. If you can understand and speak french like me, you will have no problem enjoying the Springboks game on Canal+ Sport about to start now. :).
 
I'm pretty bummed that after all the effort, Futubox has admitted on my Facebook query that they do not support the Roku. I'm not into watching on my PC and was hoping to incorporate Futubox into my tv viewing environment. :mad:

I also didn't get that folder - the setup.msi put it into programfiles so I created a manual ServerCare folder in the location digitalp refers to and after that everything worked after copying across his config.

Just one question digitalp - I don't seem to be getting any German channel EPG info ? Any ideas ? Using all your files.

From what I've read you might be able to create your own Futubox channel on the Roku from the instantrokuchannel website. You can either try to add one or more streams (test them first on a PC using VLC) directly to the channel or load a m3u8 playlist - you may need to edit the number of streams to below 10. Don't worry about the artwork etc. until you manage to get the streams running. The link below describes the process in detail.

Edit the Roku Channel

Add a live stream program to the test Roku channel:
Log into your Instant Roku Channel account and select a channel to add the live program to, or create a new channel.
From the menu along the left hand side of the page, select Content.
Right-click on any folder in the content tree in the upper-left window and add a New Content Item .
In the lower window, locate the Live Program Parameter and change it to True.

In the lower window, locate the Stream 1 - URL Program Parameter and change it to




http://address/live/irc/playlist.m3u8

substituting the Public DNS value previously saved in place of address.
In the lower window, locate the Stream 1 - Bitrate Program Parameter and change it to a value that is slightly less than the Total bandwidth required to stream as shown in the encoder. This value is specified in Kilobits per Seconds (Kbps) and will typically be in the range of 200 to 5000.
In the lower window, locate the StreamFormat Program Parameter and change it to hls.
Change both the Title and ShortDescriptionLine1 parameters to "Live Stream Test"
