Unotelly also gives you access to channel 4 and no vpn necessary.

I am using a 10mbps line, 10mbps uncapped Afrihost account. I am very close to the exchange

SNR is 13.0 db
Att is 9.0 db

The day before though, I could not even watch the evaluation video. So far so good. Enjoyed Sky news with my coffee this morning. A refreshing experience.

Thanks. I am familiar with unotelly, which is easier than a vpn, as it seems I might have to use multiple services. I am ideally looking for a service that provides channel 4 as a full channel in HD though. Hopefully i find something.

I am running xbmc as my main htpc, connected to my Yamaha Rx-V2067 etc

I really would like a one system solution where I could have access to the various online streaming channels.

I have signed up for Unotelly, Hulu Plus, Netflix and a 3 Futubox.

Is there anyway of incorporating these services into XBMC. I also have an XBOX 360 and a Netgear NTV550 (for the main lounge).

I really don't want to have to use various devices for different services.

I am currently looking at the same type of thing. Technically, you should be able to run it all through xbmc, as you can still access futubox with the Unotelly DNS.

The question is how? I use a universal remote control (control4) and not a mouse and keyboard so would need that type of functionality and not mouse/keyboard - if you know what I mean.

I reckon it should be fine. you will need input perihperals for the initial setup, but after that it should be relatively easy to navigate using your remote. You could also use the xbmc remote app if you have an android device.

I will post more details once I have completed my setup.

FYI - XBMC Frodo v12.2.

IPTV is not working and waiting on a new release from the app developer.
 
Did anybody find a channel that showed the rugby over the weekend (Stormers rugby specifically). I battled to find one.

Havent seen the rugby on, but I am sure they will show it on one of the channels, sky sports 1 possibly, I have seen boots n all(english version) on there.

I did enjoy the ice hockey over the weekend though, it has been ages since I have been able to catch a game.
 
I'm impressed with Futubox - good variety for a VERY good price.
 
I've registered on Friday and so far content is great. But I do find it takes a bit long to load. Sometimes not even displaying. I'm sure though its related to the Afrihost problems over the weekend here in Cape Town. I've got a 10mb line and using server 2. Any advice gents?
 
Try server 4 and select SD and see if that is better and there was a bit of issues this weekend in Cape Town.

Thanks boet, that helped quite a bit. Would like it to be HD though. I thought a 10mb line would have been enough. But I guess this will do for now.
 
Play around a bit. I was also having issues with HD on server 2 yesterday. I switched to server 4 and all was well again (in HD as well).
 
Has anyone gotten a way to get this to work through Roku device? I know the channel that supported Futubox is now dead on Roku so was wondering if there any other way to get it working? I use Plex to stream local media through my Roku device. If I load XBMC solely for Futubox (I prefer plex layout) is there a way to get it to work through Roku? This would be a great service especially for sport but don't want the hassle of switching between different devices everytime I want to change the channel ect. So any help would be great!
