Ok not full collection as my 2TB have a space limitation :D

Batocera.linux at home set-up with a 5TB thats about 80% full.
I downloaded launchbox, started creating ISO files of my PS2 games, but it plays very slow. Not sure what the issue is. So far converted Tekken 5 and God of War.

My specs are as follows:

I have tried playing around on the PSCX2 settings but am not sure what I must do?

Lunchbox is just a frontend, what emulator you using PCSX2 or RetroArch Core
Are you using PCSX2 directly or its core via Retro arch. As per the wiki you meet the requirements for PCSX2 See Passmark

So should be running no problem? Might be BIOS issues? Did you dump your own or you using a pack?

I have a i7 7700 and use PCSX2 native with default setting and that runs above games no problem, even up it to 3X

PS2 is one of the worst consoles to emulate. Not worth it.

I have no issues using it.

Edit: Even runs on my crappy old i5 4460 desktop. (Fresh download default settings)

Clearly it's been a while since I've tried. I must try on my new system I reckon.

I know there was issues on NTSC version some time back, don't know if it was sorted?

Got a disc at a second hand store last year and made a back-up, ran it on my laptop and it ran without tinkering.

Had a friend who's brother would always get two of every console for birthdays and christmas. One to play with, one to keep sealed in original packaging. Had stuff going back to 8 bit consoles. Must be worth a forune now if he kept them all.

My parents could not even give me 1.

Had to buy my own when I started working :(

Actually I lied, they could afford it... just em Christian folk believed games was from the devil.

Until about 2 years ago I had:
Nintendo Famicom (NES)
Sega Master System (Mark 2)
Sega Mega Drive (Model 1)
PS2 Slim
PS4 Launch Model
Wii
WiiU
Nintendo Switch

I only have my WiiU, Switch and PS4 left :(
The issue was actually keeping everything hooked up and composite video looks terrible on modern tvs, my last CRT gave up the ghost. I switched to emulation and it's not quite the same, but it scratches the itch. Also, I didn't have the time to give it the attention it deserves. Some days I miss them especially when watching Gamesack on youtube, but c'est la vie.

I know the struggle.
My TV with Component died in Jan. New TV only has Composite, Digital, 2 x HDMI & SAT.

Bought a Component to HDMI and a 3 port HDMI auto switch (Xbox, PS2 & PS3). Not a bad solution, in fact I now see it as an upgrade as I don't have to change channels on the TV anymore.
