Gas CoC (how long to wait?)

I had a company in Joburg come do my gas CoC as I have a gas stove (in the process of selling)
The said the new law is that they take a bunch of photos and then send that off to the relevant authorities, and then they issue the gas CoC to them, who then sends it on to me..

It's been 3 weeks and still nothing? Anyone have a gas CoC done recently

I had a gas geyser and gas hob installed in my new house last year in May. My installer wrote out a CoC on completion of the job, that same day. Not sure if that is because he did the installation.

yeah I'm told this is a new ruling, so an installer can no longer give you a CoC... I'm trying to find a person who's had a gas CoC recently

I had mine done under the "new " system.

Installer took some photos of install and I received my COC the same day ( with pictures on certificate).

It was send by SAQCC Gas and not the installer.

yeah what a mess. I just called the SAQCC, they were fantastic! Pulled up my details etc and emailed me my certificate straight away. 5min all done

So the story is you can have a hardcopy book or a digital app, both are issued immediately. Clearly the company I used is number one bullshit guy! Telling me to wait and wait and wait. Thanks again, all sorted
