They can get fcked, I'm installing new aircons in the next week or two and they'll be running when needed, one will be running permanently as it will be my new lab. They should do what they get paid to do and forget about bonuses and increases for a few years. I haven't received a bonus in 6+ years and no increase last year, probably non this year as well. They are overpaid anyway.

He is likely being taken on a tour around the office, being shown who is who, eating a croissant, and meeting with people to be briefed on the "terrible situation" as well as how the company is being sworn at on Twitter. But yeah he's smiling inside... thinking to himself "Ja I only have to sit through this kak for 2 years then I can go overseas with the pot in the bank.... just doing this for the retirement"

He's being paid less than what he earned at his previous job. Money's not why he took the job. He can go overseas anytime he wishes without going to Eskom first.

Well without knowing his true wealth status, I can only speculate, and besides, where's your sense of humour? Oh wait... Eskom took it from you...
 
So the conveyor belt that was blamed for the recent round of shedding first started giving problems in October and instead of addressing it we wait until it fails in January.

This is as South African as maintenance can get. Instead of preventative its reactive.

Mr Yelland, anything will push it over the edge... also note that this figure is a bit over-zealous, even as little as 1500MW is going to push us into Stage 2. So should, we say, have extreme heat in Gauteng and everyone fires up their aircons, that will do it...
We also know its coming, and some of us are more prepared than we were last year.
