Looked at the 90 as well. But I'm not planning to do any type of shooting in windy areas or with telephoto lenses. So no real need for the extra weight or stability.

I figure if I'm going to buy one I might as well buy to accommodate any/most of my gear. TBH it's pretty much right at the bottom of my shopping list though.

I had a look at that exact Manfrotto too. But it is only rated for 1.5kg max weight. The Hahnel 40 is rated for 5kg carrying weight.

I also remember seeing that Manfrotto while I was fooling around with the Hahnel in the shop. Didn't play with it but legs was certainly thinner and seemed flimsier. And the ball heads quality on the Hahnel is real good quality.

Thats good to hear let us know how it is cause my cheapy will make me commit suicide, Would love to have a ball head
 
Will certainly report back. Want to set the tripod up for those water drop photos this weekend.
 
Cheap Hahnels are apparently terrible, while expensive Hahnels are apparently pretty good. I know my uncle has a cheap Hahnel and cheap Velbon tripod that are both flimsy partially-plastic pieces of crap that I wouldn't even trust a cheap compact camera on.

That Hahnel looks like real good value for money.

I recently decided to get myself a decent tripod and decided to go with the Manfrotto 290 series with 496 ballhead. (I'll probably get a better ballhead in the future)

I bought mine from the local camera store situated inside a Pharmacy. :D Seems like I got a pretty good deal at R1400.
 
UGh had a nasty weekend, had to shoot indoors and took my 50mm 1.8f but on my crop body it just doesn't work indoors :( always finding backing into the walls.In the end I used my 18-55mm kit lens but anyway, the 50mm just a bit to long.

I am very new to this photography thing. I am looking for a clip kind of thing for your car window. I go to the Kruger a lot and need something that I can fix to my car window to mount my camera on. I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Possibly, though it would make sense for the scammer to leave the ad up for longer to get more than one victim.
 
Was only up for 4 hours when i spyed it - who knows, is gone now.....

Guys, rechargeable batteries for speedlites any brand in particular a good balance of price & quality?
Any that are better to avoid?
Stepping toward doing some liquid work & got 6x4 i need to buy.
