General Photography

I see ORMS and other places can do it and ship them but I would prefer if I can have it done in Pretoria.

I've been doing ll my printing at atphoto. They are in the Glenfair shopping centre. Great staff and they do a lot of dedicated printing for Pro's and Semi-Pro's. Including Coffee Table Books, canvas mounts, etc

Wife went past Q Photo in Parkview on Friday and they were very helpful.

I will go to atphoto as well before I make a final decision. Glenfair is pretty close to us.

I was thinking A3 but wife wants to go A2. She is paying so I'm not going to complain.

Just don't want it too big. It can become distracting.

A friend also pointed out to me that Q Photo has 20% off prints. I actually never thought about Outdoor Photo. And I'm actually a regular there.

I'll pop into the Parkview or Waterkloof Q photo stores over the weekend.

28-300mm doesn't seem too shabby to me - pic is with it on a D5200(DX) body - I'm happy enough with that.

I've always been ever so slightly jealous about that lens - canon offers one but it's a beast and an expensive one at that!

Trying to refrain from going studio lights(Einstein) so going to try one of these out & cross fingers that it delivers enough light at 1/128 at whats supposed to be 1/10,000
 
Anybody here with a D600? Have to make my final choice on the insurance replacement by Monday and I've been eyeing a full frame body instead of my D7100 replacement.

Or should I stick to the D7100 and spend the remainder of the money on some decent glass?

How do the Tamron/Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 compare to the Nikon? Price will be an issue so don't think I can go the Nikon route at more than double the price.

IMHO glass is always the better buy...

I don't know what budget you have set aside for glass from insurance, but I made the move to full frame recently and I'm constantly getting blown away by the difference in quality.
 
Budget is about R35'000 for everything. I have some spare cash lying around so let's say max 40k I'm willing to spend.
