One of my buddies went one further and changed his number so that she couldn't contact him. He only gave out this number to his own friends and people who weren't really that close to her.

Also, you can add deleting them from Facebook to that list. The last thing you want to see are her stupid status updates or possibly hitting it up with another dude.

how much time do you have to get over this dilemma of your ex breaking up with you? months? years? is it going to kill you? NO then move along now and live your life. there are people who don't have a choice in life who wish this was all they had to mull over. sorry sometimes i'm philosophical about shyte like this. it's meaningless when there are people dying and about to take their last breathe.

Feeling a bit better, she's phoned me twice asking for assistance, I have managed to detach most emotion from her - so just end up being kinda robotic when talking to her,

No pleasantries or nice goodbyes,

As far as the above quote is concerned - I see the point you are trying to get at - but unfortunately in almost ANY situation there is someone worse off than you, that doesn't mean you should suddenly be ecstatic at misfortune because it could have been worse.

ie. I lose a leg, oh its ok I could have lost a leg AND an arm - so I am going to smile and carry on - a period of grieving is theraputic.
