nope 50 over game he is terrible man

i can only remember kallis destroying our run rate over and over game after game

i stopped watching 50 over games because of him

i remember the aussies scored 300odd and we where going strong in walks kallis and our run rate went to crap

i dont watch 50 overs anymore

boring rubbish with kallis

kallis is great in 50 overs when we are 40/3 then he can block all game :)

Agreed. I had no problem with Kallis not being included in the 20/20 team for the world cup.

Watch the Ind/Pak game on at the moment - 20 over cricket is great for the other forms of the game. I think that we'll start to see greater specialisation in intl teams: a core group of regular players who are able to play all forms of the game, who are supported by test-, ODI- or 20/20-specialists.

Steyn is another one who seems to struggle with the shorter game atm. Maybe it's not a bad thing to reserve him for our test team, though.

Kallis: Tests - Anyday, ODI - maybe, if no other options, T20 - no ways

Cant say the same, saw a bit of the Eng vs NZ test match at Trenbridge this weekend, is was good. I still enjoy the other forms of the game, only problem is getting the time to watch a full test match, with work etc, its almost impossible, best you gonna get is 2 days that are played on the weekend.

Dont be a smart ass, you cant have a team full of ABs / Morkels because then you get an indian team without any steadiness :)

Iow a team that is really a gamble every game....
 
Sure he was Wisdens cricketer of the year, but what good did that do for the Bangalore Royal Challengers, Kallis was dismal in the IPL. He is definitely not for T20.

lol, never said that but for ODIs he is......

Kallis' stats for 2007 ODIs: 987 runs @ 58.05; 19 wickets @ 35.05.
 
Personally, I don't think Kallis should play any ODI's or T20. Then again, correct (not flame) me if I'm wrong, he did throw a tantrum of note when he wasn't selected at one stage, didn't he?

anyone can do that when they block 70% of deliveries

devil its a fact and we all know that kallis ruins games for us

i would rather have a team full of ab's and morkels than kallis in our team

kallis comes in and destroys our run rate

horrible 50 over player and even worse 20/20 player

ok or we can do it your why and have 3 gibbs 2 smiths 4 ABs 2 Bouchers....against a decent swing bowler attack they would be at around 23/9 :D:D
 
yes this is the balance with kallis

we score quickly, he comes in we score slowly yes we make 176 all out thanx to kallis and we get beaten in 30 overs :)

if kallis had not blocked and screwed our run rate up so often other batsmen would not have felt they need to smash 36 off every over to have a chance in the game

he makes the other players need to score so fast they lose their wickets

i would rather get bowled out for 50 than score 120 and lose anyway because kallis blocked the whole game

so many games we having been scoring nicely with wickets in hand and he comes in screws our run rate up we lose wickets and lose the game

yea i do now because i got tired of watching kallis destroy our game

after all these years im still amazed he gets selected

the aussies would never in their life play a batsmen who cannot score runs fast and thats why they are the best in 50 and 5 day cricket

kallis would never even make the aussie 5 day team because he bats to slow, even in the 5 day game the aussies aim for 4-5 runs an over

we are happy to see kallis make 110 of 370 balls, he does it all the time and then gets cricketer of the year, they forgot to add the slowest but best cricketer of the year
