LMFAO!! If you make that power with chip alone contact the vw boys as at the last dyno day they really needed it...

Sorry but excuse me while I laugh me a$$ of... LOL!!!

Upsolute Software stands for Upsolute cr@p, I've seen a number of their cars already and wasn't impressed with any of them... they claim such good figures, but they actually suck cause you get those figures for some like 10ms.... LOL

Go for FRC rather, speak to Preggie or Gert.

If your car suffers from heat a bit, a cold air induction kit won't really help, although they help getting more air into the system... what you probably need to do is get an uprated intercooler, helps transfering the heat from the air to the intercooler which releases it to the air...

I was there, none of the Mk5s were doing so well, the Polo Gtis were Sttrrrrrong!!!:)

Yes I have FRC software on my GTi, had to replace the DV soon after I had it installed. I've had it for a good 6 months now without any issues.

The max power a chip will give you is about 25Kw so expecting a GTi to go from 147Kw to 200Kw on a chip alone is NUTS!

I guess if the software increases your boost significantly it might be possible, but I haven't heard of any car achieving those figures with nothing but a chip. FRC stage III should give you those power figures but it's a lot of mods, not just a chip.

The Polo GTI is a different story because it makes 110Kw in standard form and makes 154Kw with a chip. That's because it has a detuned Mk4 132Kw GTI motor.

The software can be adjusted depending on what you want, you want performance, reliability or both.

The 132kw is a tuned ver of the 110kw.

Yes, but it's not a car you'll take a wife/gf to the movies... they load it off a trailer, start it, warm it up and put it on the dyno... after that they let it cool, and put it back on the trailer...
 
Speaking of Dyno's... anyone got some info on the next dyno run or know where to get a car dyno reading at good pricing. I took my car to JMS in Benoni and they very helpful but not sure how accurate the dyno is....just want a second read
 
There is Jedi in Germiston, or Topsport in Jetpark near Boksburg, KAR in Kempton Park or you can travel across gauteng and go do a run at Snails.

Nope, there are (almost) significant differences. The 132Kw engine has VVT and other goodies. Also, the 132Kw GTi & the 2003 1.8T (110Kw) share the same engine and have a KO3s turbo instead of the older K03 turbo.

Show me a car that makes an extra 53Kw with a chip and no other mods.

The GTi and some other cars look really nice without a front licence plate..
Ive seen a few on the road. What happens when you get pulled over? Is it legal to have just one licence plate displayed at the back?

No its not legal to have 1 number plate. They will give you a fine unless you can look really shocked and say it must of fallen off officer.
