Unfortunately I cannot comment on the device as I do not own one, but it seems like a decent device (Android 4.2, dual-core processor, 4" display, etc.) considering the price (R1175.00). Apparently it is also easy to root this device, which is always a good thing.

Has anyone used this phone?

Also, is there a warranty on phones bought through Kalahari or similar online shops and if it was to break down, where would I take it to be fixed?

Getting myself a Liquid E3 and my daughter a Liquid E2.Should be here by Thursday/Friday. Bang for the buck it seems reasonable. I do regret not getting a Moto G before they weren't available from Orange anymore.
