Correct, the contract on offer is the following:
For R999-00
1. 5000 minutes
2. 5000 SMS
3. 10 gigs data
4. R10 000 in a debit card for either to buy you out of current contract or whatever you want to use it for.
5. OOB is 15 cents per Meg
Mine was a little more as I wanted a new phone - So for R1240 I got the Samsung S7 and a Samung J2
When did number porting become a reality? Factor that.20 years of giving money to one company? No wonder Vodacom is so arrogant.
No complaints on their network. No OOB. they stop and then ask you what to do... purchase bundle, go OOB or stop data.Eish.. looking to make the move but to Telkom.
Anyone here done the same?

Besides, more choices are now to be had, their arrogance will come to an end - MTN beginning to show their
cracks.

Their service isn't great though. But solid no hassles network quality and great value.
Customer service... call centres, stores etcWhat part of the service isn't great? Signal?
Their people service isn't great, to do 90% of things you have to go in store. They hardly have stock of popular devices, for upgrades you need statements and payslips and and every time. What part of the service isn't great? Signal?

Earlier this year I actually ended up canceling two contracts with TM, one due to waiting 3 months for any device that wasn't a Huawei p8 lite and having to go with all my documents to store to check the upgrade.
The second was a few months later and pretty much the same situation. Months later and they still hadn't replaced their stock.
On prepaid though they are pretty cool.

I logged a query with Vodacom 6 months ago that iPhone 6 only gets 3g, even when holding next to another phone that's on 4g or LTE. Feedback I got was it's my phone and not their problem.
Well my contract is coming to an end next month and moving to Telkom - So Thanks Vodacom, now I will never be your "problem" again...
Yup.Their people service isn't great, to do 90% of things you have to go in store. They hardly have stock of popular devices, for upgrades you need statements and payslips and and every time.
