Goodbye Vodacom

Sorry forgot to mention they gave me 2 x phones, a Samsung S7 + Samsung J2 + R10 000 ( Total R1240 per month as opposed to spending anywhere from R1800-00 to R2200-00 on VC)

As someone who uses 2Gb+ p/m on the cellphone, vodacom simply isn't an option. Criminally expensive.

My contract ends 16 Nov I see, sooner than I thought. Must I do the conversion to prepaid now? How long does it take? Does it kick in on the day after?

I think AFAIK, on the last day, call retentions on that number nd say you want to convert to prepaid, get it in writing otherwise it wont be done.
I think they will mail you a settlement figure if there is one and then make sure your pre paid request is sent to you in writing via e mail.

Should not be difficult

Bio, so far, I am completely flawed at how good the quality is on Cell C.
The quality is crystal clear and no dropped calls.
Not one so far, I have never experienced that before.
on VC I almost always have a few per day
Hey marine1!!! Took a Vodacom thread to wake you up! How was jail, by the way ?

I moved the wife and daughter to Telkom Mobile 2 years ago - after the initial teething issues, they seem pretty happy.

Am also strongly considering moving from Vodacom to Telkom in the new year.

TM freeme package is unbeatable value.

/Unashamedly TM freeme plug.

No OOB nonsense. 1GB "normal" data PM. Unlimited social media data (FUP) PM. 50 SMS per day. Unlimited Telkom landline + mobile minutes (FUP). All for just R99 p.m.

Voice calls are cheap as chips - 69c per minute to any other network [Telkom mobile and landline free] and they bill per second. The top up bundles last upto two months. I've yet to have a dropped call. All-in-all a great experience, thus far.

It just feels right.

//Ockie, my earlier vitriol will also include that you secure a rewarding job with another ISP - you add value in an environment that tries hard to take it away from us.

Wahahahahha, self imposed jail.
Lol, I just had to post this thread. But had a real disagreement with someone and just thought it was perhaps time to move on
Well, good to see you back (sort of)
