mine has received the update. on the lock screen i have an icon bottom left for the phone. according to all reports, on the bottom right there should be an icon for a shortcut to the camera. i do not have that. is anyone else missing this icon? any ideas how to get it back?

Is your camera working otherwise? It could be that the camera app is not working properly.

On another note, the adaptive brightness problem I'm experiencing might be due to a problem with the sensor drivers or something. I have found that while the adaptive brightness is not working, the screen does not switch off or on when I'm on a call and I move the phone to or away from my face. But after a restart both those features seems to be working. I will see how long and if it lasts. I also had problems with the sensor on the dev preview but I thought they might still be working on that.

It worked just fine on KitKat so I don't think the problem is with my sensor hardware, but I might be wrong. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

So, 6 days after installing Lollipop and there have been no major issues. Zero.

The battery lasts around 24hrs on a charge (which includes an hour of Waze during the commute) and my Nexus smartly does everything I require. Lollipop has brought a few enhancements that I like, such as notifications on the lock screen. I am missing a way to change the white background of the apps launcher (without resorting to a 3rd-party), but that's minor.

So far, so good!

I don't have any of these problems. I will be more attentive to see if I just missed it, but I doubt it.

I concur... But I still use Nova. So my drawer background is just fine and dandy

To the rest of you guys with lollipop installed, whats your take on it?

At the moment the following bug me (maybe you can shed some light on how to resolve without installing additional apps):

1. When I unlock the phone, I am take directly to the dialler - I would much rather like to be on the home screen
2. The google search bar is a greyish/white colour, much prefer the older colour scheme, it blended in with my black background
3. The app drawer is also greyish/white - and again i preferred the old style.
4. When i press the power button to initiate unlocking the phone, i now need to do a general swipe first, then swipe in my unlock pattern - prefer just to be shown the unlock pattern - maybe this is because i had notification enabled on the lock screen

1. You are swiping from bottom left to upper right. Swipe upward only to go to your home screen
2. Nova launcher
3. Nova launcher
4. Will check it out

Thanks for the tip on question 1. Going to have to learn to swipe up. I swipe with my thumb. I am right handed, so its more natural to swipe from left to right

Not so keen on different launchers - i like to keep the phone as far stock as possible. So a bit dissapointing that you cant configure the app drawer to make the background transparent.

I also struggled in the beginning, but an hour later I was fine

Try Nova ... it is very close to stock apart from the couple of added features/enhancements. I do miss the dedicated Google Now home page (far left in the home screens), but I have sent a mail to Nova to consider having options/tick boxes to enable it.

I have noticed that Lollipop has considerable drain when connected by either wifi or 3g. Maybe it is only now reported on in Lollipop, but I did not notice this on KK. Battery life for me is similar to that of KK and it is supposed to be better ...

Well 2g.WiFi on entire time. Brightness right down. No adaptive brightness. No location settings or synching. Didn't even use battery saver mode. Don't think ill get that 5 hours Again. But I usually get 4 at least during the days im out and on 2g. After my initial battery drain much more settled now

It seems like my light and proximity sensors are freezing up after a while. I confirmed this using sensor box. After a restart the light sensor will show changes in lux readings normally, but after a few minutes it just stays on the same value irrespective of changes in ambient light.

When I have some time I will flash stock KK again to see if the problem persists and then maybe upgrade to Lollipop by flashing the OTA instead of the factory image.

Yeah, it feels like wi-fi is draining the battery faster than KK.
Hope they release a fix soon.

Ah ok...I normally have the the following on
Adaptive Brightness, 3g, Wifi, location settings (high accuracy), sync on, email (push)
Basically everything on, but compared to KK the battery life is worse.

Probably try turning ambient lighting off as a start and manually set the bright ness. WiFi drain on standby definitely seems to be an issue.

Another "issue" from my side:

I used to be able to see notification icons on the notification bar from the lock screen. Thats gone, now you have choose one of the options from the notifications settings

So I did a clean flash of Lollipop last night, but the problem returned within minutes. I flashed KK early this morning and so far there is no sign of the problem. This confirms my suspicion that it is software / driver / kernel related and not the hardware.

I will continue using it for the rest of the day to monitor and then upgrade to Lollipop with the OTA, hopefully this solves it.

Did you upgrade to Lollipop with the OTA (sideloading the zip or via standard software upgrade)? Or did you flash the factory image?
